Purpose:
Workplaces is responsible for the active management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio including leases and transactions of all the properties, all design, construction and operations for offices, showrooms and DC’s for adidas.tHIS
This rols is responsible to Implement the HSEE strategy, support the governance and audits in the area of HSEE, (Health & Safety, Environment and Energy) for own operations in the region Emerging Markets. Ensure we create and operate our workplaces in a way, that the best work environment for our employees is provided over the entire real estate lifecycle. Implement all projects related to the Sustainability Strategy to achieve climate neutrality and to foster a H&S culture in own operations.
- Implement and monitor performance targets, including energy, carbon, water, waste and health and safety KPI’s.
- Lead the data HSEE collection & data quality in compliance with global standards.
- Drive the HSEE performance measurements and implement the necessary performance targets, policies and audits to achieve the external certification goals.
- Create and maintain a network within the HSEE industry to keep informed on key trends.
- Ensure IMS Certification, leading the legal compliance registers and internal audits. Implement the HSEE policies and track performance ensuring local alignment on roles and responsibilities
- Drive sustainability / energy efficiency / carbon reduction initiatives in relation to our buildings and operations to ensure the necessary reductions to improve performance.
- Lead the green energy projects HQ and DC’s to accelerate energy efficiency and carbon reduction to achieve climate neutrality. Create energy business cases for investment or costs transparency and KPI tracking.
- Implement written health and safety programs, ensuring safe working conditions for employees and compliance.
- Implement the health and safety risk strategies incorporating: safety standards, policies, environmental, ergonomics, people risk, governance, investigation & management, risk Assessment.
· Support adidas corporate and third-party audit programs with NTP to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Management System, regulations and other legal requirements.
- Captures, analyses, and reacts to safety metrics and reviews weekly and monthly incident trends to discover patterns on areas where the safety risk is highest. Develop incident investigation/near-miss process and train Operations staff on the procedure. Support Operations with root cause analysis and review corrective actions to ensure proper mitigation plans are being implemented.
- Integrates H&S risk assessment within operations thereby assuring all initiatives at the site. Serve as a technical expert on Health & Safety legal matters and legislative trends.
- Develop all required training materials. Collaborates with Operations and Training departments to ensure all employees receive the necessary training.
· Manage, coach, develop and train team members, input into performance reviews, provide feedback and allocate work considering complexity and experience level
- Drive team performance through setting clear expectations and priority management.

· Business travel (30%) will be required
Requisite Education and Experience:
· University degree in engineering and proven knowledge in HSEE with certificates.
- Minimum 12 years’ professional HSEE experience, preferably working for global player, ideally in the sporting goods industry or facilities management.
- Significant experience in leading and developing large teams.
- Strong knowledge of the regional energy markets & trends and H&S regulation.
- Knowledge in green building standards, construction, facility management and energy and environmental management standards. Internal audit certificate in the following standards ISO 50001/ISO 14001/ ISO 45001) is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of the sustainability collective action and partnership initiatives such as Science Based Target initiative, UNFCCC Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, etc.
