Senior Manager Brand Planning EMC

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

To ensure positive development, planning and delivery of adidas’ Brand image across all Channel DTC touchpoints. The role will be responsible for planning & provision of processes (and opportunities for their implementation) initiated by the headquarters, EM Hub, as well as Brand Calendar & marketing expenses annual planning & alignment that will allow the marketing teams to consistently deliver effective seasonal go-to-market plan & marketing campaigns with the purpose of driving brand heat, net sales & company profit

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

  • Go to Market seasonal planning leadership & alignment with brand & channel teams
  • Seasonal Brand Calendar planning
  • Annual marketing expenses planning with close collaboration with Finance, brand teams & brand director
  • Management of the operational process of Adidas Marketing departments (hereinafter referred to as the "Go–to-Market process"):
  • Plans the work of the Marketing department for the coming season:
  • Creates and constantly updates the general Go-to-Market calendar, taking into account the deadlines set by the headquarters, from the moment the brand development plans and individual categories are sent to the headquarters to the direct placement of the order;
  • Plans and coordinates internal deadlines within the Go-to-Market process (product launch) between all involved departments (Procurement, Retail, Wholesale, Finance, Logistics, E-Commerce);
  • Plans and coordinates the distribution of responsibility between the departments involved in projects and activities;
  • Draws up a schedule of meetings, organizes and conducts cross-functional meetings;
  • Informs departments on a weekly basis about the deadlines for completing certain tasks (at a general meeting of departments and in writing), monitors compliance with these deadlines.
  • Initiates creation, if necessary, or creates or makes changes, as well as templates for projects included in the calendar
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the Go-to-Market process, initiates appropriate changes and monitors their implementation
  • On a regular basis (at least once every six months) initiates feedback on the processes from all involved departments in order to further optimize
  • Exchanges knowledge, skills and best practices with other markets and headquarters as necessary
  • Participates in global meetings of operational marketing managers
  • Plans and organizes the process of filling out standard documents for the headquarters according to the templates provided by the headquarters, manages cross-functional teams and ensures the required result at the proper level and in accordance with the approved deadlines:
  • If necessary, creates or makes changes to existing templates;
  • Draws up a plan for the preparation and implementation of the project, plans the stages of the project, determines the timing of its implementation, coordinates the project plan with the heads of the involved departments and the immediate supervisor;
  • Forms a project team from among the employees of the involved departments
  • Sets tasks and distributes responsibility among the project team members, as well as establishes and monitors compliance with deadlines for the implementation of tasks by the project team;
  • Schedules, organizes and conducts cross-functional meetings;
  • Ensures that the required information is available by the specified deadline;
  • Provides communication between the project team members.
  • Product Information Management:
  • Plans and organizes work on maintaining product information in SAP and Navision systems
  • Ensures the timely availability of complete and correct information on the product
  • Provides regular verification of the correctness of the data
  • Constantly strives to optimize the process, working closely with the IT team in order to minimize labor costs
  • Managing the work of the sample showroom (showroom):
  • Manages the budget for ordering samples, monitors its compliance
  • Ensures timely acceptance and sorting of samples
  • Ensures the maintenance of order in the showroom and the safety of samples Monitors and preserves the history of the issuance of samples.
  • Provides presentation of samples for pre-order sessions for wholesale customers in due time
  • Ensures the organization of the sale of samples in the office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Manager with advanced marketing and sales knowledge/experience across sport and fashion/lifestyle
  • Strong Leadership Ability
  • Proven track record of Project Management
  • Extensive experience in Strategic Key Account Management & Negotiation skills
  • Retail & Channel expertise is a plus
  • Visual Awareness
  • Solution oriented personality who understands to balance brand equity/ building a brand and commercial relevance/interest of channels
  • Proven track record in trade marketing, brand marketing, account management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • IT skills: Outlook, Excel and Word: Basic; PowerPoint: advanced

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • University degree in Business with Marketing focus as an advantage and/or a minimum of 3-5 years successful track record in Marketing and/or Trade Marketing
  • Experience in consumer and/or sporting goods industries is preferred
  • Fluent in English
