Purpose:

The Internal Communications team is a part of the wider adidas Global Corporate Communication Team. The function plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's reputation and positively impacting employee’s engagement by developing key messages, impactful storylines, key employee engagement activities and business communication to the internal audience. This role will be a key player in the wider Emerging Markets (EM) Internal Communications team, with a priority focus on EM’s biggest cluster – Emerging Markets Central (EMC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all employee engagement activities and projects in line with Global and Emerging Markets by working closely with key stakeholders to inspire and drive positive employee engagement, support creating a more diverse and inclusive culture, and contribute to the department's KPIs across adidas owned corporate media internal channels (I.e., adidas intranet, a-LIVE, adidas external blog Inside3Stripes, Viva Engage and more)
  • Act as a business partner and communication consultant to the adidas Emerging Markets' Central SVP and EMC Senior Leadership Team in delivering impactful content for internal audiences
  • In line with global key themes, create tactical and engaging plans and activities for employees to connect or collaborate virtually and in person and contribute to the quarterly internal communication and employee engagement calendar.
  • Lead on the SVP’s communication to support executing the strategy in Emerging Markets Central and driving the business agenda with senior leaders in Emerging Markets Central across all internal channels
  • Bring clarity and focus to employees in Emerging Markets Central through regular all-employee meetings related to business, strategic priorities, and people topics.
  • Lead the process of planning and executing impactful all-employee meetings across Emerging Markets Central regularly, from developing the storyline, run-of-show, deck, speaker briefing and scripts to providing creative and content direction for video creation and edits and overlooking logistics and production requirements. As well as support wider team in the all-employee meetings across Emerging Markets.
  • Ensure to land global and EM key messages with impact and relevance in Emerging Markets Central organization; Vice versa, ensure to elevate and promote key success stories or moments in Emerging Markets Central to EM and HQ via internal and external corporate channels by collaborating with key stakeholders in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Provide regular input and updates to the EM team and collaborate to the EM-wide All Employee Meetings, content creation, internal articles, CEO Updates etc.
  • Contribute to developing the EM communication strategy and plan by providing insights and visibility about Emerging Markets Central
  • Develop impactful communication concepts to support change management processes
  • Work with Brand PR leads in countries to leverage select media opportunities (I.e., CEO/Stakeholder visits, big sporting events)
  • Lead on selected Region-wide campaigns to contribute to & gain experience with wider EM region
  • Budget responsibility for assigned area of responsibility

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • University degree in marketing/communications
  • 7 – 8 years of working experience in a Corporate/ Internal Communication department or Corporate PR agency
  • Experience in partnering closely with leaders, developing leadership communication framework, storyline, and annual plans
  • Thorough understanding of the complexity, interactions, and dynamics within an international company
  • Comprehensive understanding of communication and business topics, processes, and structures
  • Excellent communication expertise with solid business acumen, both written and verbal (quality, consistency, and accuracy)
  • Excellent organizational, project & event management and production management skills
  • Hands-on experience in managing employee townhalls or all-employee meetings and live interactive broadcast events, preferably on Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to think and act strategically and develop operational plans
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally in a matrix organization and understand external business drivers
  • Agility in a consistently changing environment with hands-on, solution-oriented, and can-do attitude
  • Passion for communication and sport
