Senior Specialist CTC Football & Motorsport EMC
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Support the Sr Manager CTC Football and Motorsport in EMC, executing the short and medium-term objectives for both categories. Responsible for delivering across all KPIs.
Support the strategic business plan for the Football and Motorsport business for Emerging Market Central (EMC) Cluster. Support the definition of EMC cluster range and its maintenance into the operation systems (RMA, RL, etc.) in conjunction with channels and B2B team. Support a locally relevant seasonal Go-to-market plan by planning product range, pricing strategy, distribution to maximize growth ambitions in both categories, with a focus on Motorsport.
Support relevant commercial input gathering in terms of consumer needs, market particularities, and channel needs to influence the development of EMC BU strategy.
Collaborate regularly with local & Hub counterparts to identify business opportunities in the market and to maximize net sales and profitability (within the aligned parameters)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and the execution of adidas Football and Motorsport strategy in EMC.
- Support the development and the delivery of GTM seasonal plans by selecting relevant product, defining distribution and prices, exclusive offer to Key Accounts, local Clubs and B2B channel.
- Support the strategic alignments with Channels and Key Accounts to define priorities and opportunities to maximize the business and increase market share across the different countries in EMC.
- Responsible for Motorsport article master data and system maintenance (RMA, RL, launch matrix, etc.) to ensure all product & campaign information are always up to date and shared across x-functional stakeholders and sales organization.
- Responsible for all aspects of range merchandising including segmentation to meet all KPIs inc. efficiency, productivity, overlap, top line, margin
- Support and drive communications across x-functional team to report any relevant change on product launches (retail intro date, product drops, cancellations, etc.) and escalate if needed according to flagged delays.
- Support the GTM product proposition aligning with BA/Omni team on Marketing plan, communication tools, activation tools, sports marketing support etc. and support the sell-in process to focus accounts.
- Support Motorsport expansion in collaboration with B2B department to ensure additional business opportunities.
- Provide support to the Sr. Category Manager on regular analytics on the sell-in, sell-out, margin, article productivity, ensuring they meet the financial expectations set out in the short and mid-term goals across all channels, segments in EMC region.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with cross-functional teams and with interlinked departments to enable an efficient Go to Market process.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the CTC team as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Passion and curiosity towards sports, preferably an affinity with Football and Motorsport.
- Consumer-focused, curious to gain product and range understanding and showcasing the ability to balance brand and commercial aspects in building channel-specific GTM solutions
- Exposure to merchandising approach including assortment planning, FPST, Open to Buy, launch and exit calendars, rate of sales, and also to VM planning & execution
- Ability to guide optimal range building as per segmentation strategy and option plan (product type, gender, price points) for different channels
- Proactive (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end
- Ability to work in an agile environment with different cultures and nationalities
- Time and workload management skills
- Commercial acumen: very good numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication (both written and verbal), presentation and facilitation skills
- Advanced skills in MS Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint); proficient in MS Office
- Fluent English (verbal and written); Arabic & other languages as a plus.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience.
- Merchandising experience including Sales and Retail exposure, ideally in sporting goods, fashion or other youth culture brands
- Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficient in MS Office
- Experience in the sporting goods/lifestyle industry is preferred
