Technology Consultant
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The Technology Consultant is responsible for translating business needs into scalable digital, automation, data, and AI-enabled solutions. The role supports employees with specific applications and provides expert advisory services. It partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver measurable business value through applications, workflow automation, and AI-enabled tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Business analysis
- Investigates operational needs, process inefficiencies, data gaps, and business pain points.
- Supports demand prioritization based on business value, feasibility, risk, reusability, and alignment with customer needs.
- Assists in defining acceptance criteria, user validation approach, and benefit tracking for delivered solutions.
Requirements definition and management
- Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition, prioritization, and change management activities for digital & automation initiatives.
- Applies structured techniques to elicit, document, validate, and baseline business, data, integration, security, and reporting requirements.
- Provides constructive challenge to stakeholders to ensure requirements are clear, feasible, measurable, and aligned with standard processes.
- Documents traceability from business problem to solution design, test cases, adoption plan, and business outcome.
- Reviews requirements for errors, omissions, dependencies, and compliance considerations before solution build or handover.
Digital solution design and delivery
- Designs, configures, tests, and supports digital solutions using appropriate technologies such as Power Platform, Python automation, SQL databases, Dataverse, Office Scripts, and enterprise collaboration tools.
- Builds reusable automation components, reports, apps, and workflows that improve process efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
- Collaborates with technical teams to define integration approaches, data models, access controls, and support models.
- Documents solution design, known issues, test results, deployment steps, and operational handover materials to agreed standards.
AI agent and intelligent automation enablement
- Designs and maintains AI agents and agent skills that support repeatable business scenarios, knowledge retrieval, guided workflows, and productivity improvement.
- Defines agent purpose, scope, instructions, knowledge sources, actions, escalation rules, and responsible AI boundaries in line with company policies.
- Uses approved AI and automation tools to prototype, validate, and scale solutions that improve search, reporting, workflow execution, and decision support.
- Creates user guidance, adoption materials, and feedback loops to continuously improve AI-agent quality, usability, and business impact.
Application support
- Identifies, investigates, and resolves issues across applications, reports, workflows, databases, and AI-enabled tools following agreed procedures.
- Monitors solution performance, usage, data quality, and adoption metrics using available application management, analytics, and reporting tools.
- Performs agreed maintenance, enhancement, access review, and documentation tasks to ensure stable operations and continuous improvement.
- Provides hands-on support and advisory to business users, enabling effective adoption of new digital and automation capabilities.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year college or university degree with focus on Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient spoken and written command of English and Mandarin; able to communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT, business technology consulting, application delivery, or related areas.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant solution delivery areas, including project management, requirements analysis, enterprise application rollout, process automation, or software development.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Python, VBA, Office Scripts, Power Apps, and Smartsheet to propose and develop IT solutions.
- Solid SQL database knowledge, including data querying, data modeling fundamentals, data quality checks, and database-driven reporting or automation scenarios.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Query, Power BI, and Power Automate, with the ability to design, build, test, deploy, and support business-facing solutions.
- Capability to design Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio-based AI agents and agent skills, including defining agent purpose, instructions, topics, knowledge sources, actions, guardrails, testing approach, and continuous improvement process.
- Experience in team coordination, stakeholder management, vendor collaboration, or cross-functional project delivery is preferred.
- Familiar with sourcing business processes and operations.
- Understanding of different cultures and ability to work effectively with people from other functions, markets, and global teams.
