Assistant Manager, VM Execution- West (Own Retail + Franchise)

Position Title: Regional Visual Merchandising Execution - West

Based at - Mumbai, field based, with regional travel 

Function: Regional Visual Merchandising Execution Lead – Own Retail & Franchise Stores

Reporting To: Senior Manager Visual Merchandising

Role Overview

The Regional Visual Merchandising Execution role is responsible for end‑to‑end in‑store execution of Visual Merchandising standards across all exclusive retail stores. The role ensures that all VM guidelines, campaigns, windows, and product presentations are implemented accurately, consistently, and on time at store level.

This position focuses purely on on-ground execution, store coordination, and compliance, acting as the execution arm of the Visual Merchandising function.

Key Responsibilities

1. In‑Store VM Execution

  • Execute all visual merchandising guidelines across all exclusive retail stores (own & franchise operated).
  • Implement season launches, brand campaigns, promotions, and window changes in stores
  • Ensure accurate execution of layouts, fixtures, mannequins, and product presentations
  • Deliver high-quality execution aligned with brand standards and creative intent

2. Store Visits & Coverage

  • Plan and conduct regular store visits as per VM calendar
  • Prioritize key stores, new launches, and high-impact locations
  • Ensure timely execution during critical retail periods (EOSS, festive, launches)
  • Support new store openings with complete VM setup and readiness

3. VM Compliance & Quality Control

  • Conduct VM audits to ensure adherence to guidelines and standards
  • Identify gaps in execution and correct them on the floor
  • Share store-wise compliance reports with VM and retail leadership
  • Drive consistency in look-and-feel across all all exclusive retail stores (own & franchise operated).

4. Store Team Enablement

  • Guide and train store staff on VM standards, product placement, and maintenance
  • Own the VM Champ & Partner VM program and train them
  • Support store teams with VM best practices and execution tips
  • Ensure VM is maintained daily through correct product replenishment and styling
  • Build strong working relationships with store managers and staff

5. Coordination with VM & Retail Teams

  • Work closely with VM Operations & VM NSO teams
  • Translate VM guidelines into practical store-level execution
  • Coordinate with retail operations on execution timelines and store readiness
  • Provide execution feedback and improvement suggestions to VM leadership

6. Campaign & Window Installation

  • Execute window displays and in-store focal points as per campaign briefs
  • Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and dismantling of VM elements
  • Coordinate with local vendors or installers if required
  • Ensure safety, durability, and visual impact of displays

7. Reporting & Feedback

  • Share post-execution images, execution reports, and store feedback
  • Highlight execution challenges, store limitations, or fixture gaps
  • Provide insights to improve future VM guidelines and execution feasibility

 

Skills & Competencies

Functional Skills

  • Strong hands-on VM execution and floor management skills
  • Good understanding of product presentation, styling, and storytelling
  • Ability to read and interpret VM guidelines, layouts, and planograms
  • Basic reporting and documentation skills (Excel, PPT, images)

  • High attention to detail and visual quality
  • Strong communication and relationship management with store teams
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours when required
