Director - Franchise
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
To ensure profitable and sustainable market growth of adidas and achieve undisputed market leadership. The job holder is responsible for expansion and maximizing the profitability of the Franchise business in India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and translate business growth objectives and strategies for the franchise channel in the market into actionable plans delivering the best possible results across net sales and other key KPI’s.
- Work closely with the partner org to deliver a sustained profitable growth
- Responsible to work closely with the real estate team and maintain strong relationships with malls/developers
- Responsible to maintain a strong market facing approach
- To coordinate and track business plans, implement action plans across channels.
- Negotiate and update contracts and trade terms where necessary.
- Monitor sales and achieve targets by analyzing sales data to assess new commercial opportunities for driving growth for partner and brand.
- Identify and research opportunities and advise the management of the same and similarly identify and propose new partners.
- Conduct regular evaluation of partners capabilities and build contingencies for maintenance and development.
- Responsible for central communication and direction to partners to ensure all retail principles, store layouts, the recruitment/training of team members and the overall brand proposition meet the brand standards.
- To develop, nurture and maintain relationships with key decision makers amongst partners and influence own senior management team ensuring maximum leverage for brand and products.
- Provide consultancy across all retail functions (where necessary) to facilitate franchise partners’ needs.
- Partner and work closely with cross functional expertise to develop an integrated and consistent service levels for the franchise partners.
- Recruit, develop, motivate and lead team of franchise regional and key account managers for development of the territory covered.
- Lead all direct reports and support functions as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines.
- Develop the functional and social skills of direct reports on and off the job.
- To monitor and report on customers and competitors’ activities and propose/initiate/take actions.
- To provide realistic plans and forecasts for customer performance.
- To ensure customer compliance with Franchise agreements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English and Hindi
- Advanced Communication skills with ability to make powerful presentations.
- High level of business acumen and financial understanding required.
- Strong franchise management experience.
- Strong analytical skills and product knowledge.
- Strong personality with forward thinking and entrepreneurial approach.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business with marketing and sales focus.
- Minimum 10 years sales / franchise operations experience ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role.
