Senior Manager ECommerce
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
Lead the eCommerce channel for adidas in India to deliver superior consumer experience and strong business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and implement the India eCommerce Strategy to achieve ambitious Net Sales and profitability targets
- Lead the eCommerce channel in India by partnering with and driving best in class standards across functional eCom areas (Consumer Experience, Digital Analytics, Digital Operations and Strategy, Planning & Execution).
- Partner with Merchandise functional team to ensure best in class Merchandising standards to maximize Net Sales and Profitability targets
- Ensure consistent improvement of the adidas eCommerce on-site experience through driving implementation of key enhancements
- Ensure identification, improvement and implementation of best practices within the cluster eCommerce portfolio
- Develop and implement advanced components for enhancing the Cluster eCommerce business (logistics, IT, reporting, staff deployment planning, training) with the respective functions.
- Partner with VP eCom & DPC, EM to ensure key EM areas are functioning optimally to drive best in class experience and ultimately, Net Sales and Profitability.
- Align with other Cluster channels on launches, end of season sales and discounting standards
- Align and support Digital Brand Activation focuses with a specific focus on Membership and Performance Marketing.
- Responsible for commercial decisions at cluster level by analyzing the eCommerce KPI’s and local trends and needs
- Develop deep consumer insights to support the decision-making process especially among target segment
- Work with India Retail and EM eCommerce teams to plan and build towards delivering a more seamless Omni channel experience to the consumer
- Meet and exceed agreed KPI targets for eCommerce net sales and profitability
- Manage and control operational expenses in line with the cluster eCommerce budget
- Preserve long term brand value while ensuring eCommerce is commercially viable and sustainable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the trade marketing Industry, with 5 – 7 years’ experience in Ecommerce – ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG, with an operational background.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience of leading eCommerce teams.
- Strong understanding of consumer base and purchasing behavior.
- Experience in P&L management and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills including impactful presentation skills, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and drive change.
- Experience managing large and diverse teams.
- Fluent in English.
