HR Director

Purpose:

 

Provide high quality HR work along the HRM circle and support the East Europe organization as “Strategic Business Coach” in all relevant HR Management issues.

Ensure that internal and external customers receive added value from the HR function and lead the HR team in East.  Be accountable for a consistent application of all Cluster, Market and Global HR Standards and Principles.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Maintain a close relationship with the East Management and contribute to the decision-making process of structuring and developing the team for the organization. Actively support implementation of business initiatives and business needs with effective HR measures and promote positive employee relations in the work environment
  • Ensure that all relevant aspects of staffing, employee relations, employee development, and compensation & benefits are aligned with Market Europe and delivered timely and in accordance with relevant labor and commercial legislation
  • Support/drive initiatives and efficient processes, in close co-ordination with the Sr. HRD Europe and in close collaboration with Talent partner and PMO.
  • Manage personnel planning, annual salary rounds and promotions/salary adjustments for defined areas in accordance with GSMS-process and in close cooperation with the Sr. HRD Europe and Rewards.
  • Lead the HR Business Partners EE and give functional direction and support according to the Market, as well as cluster strategies and concepts - ensuring a harmonized approach to all relevant HR processes (one voice to the customer)
  • Implement organizational structure, set objectives, and manage workloads and results to achieve goals while adopting best practices and achieving continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure high employee engagement through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team
  • Supervise and ensure that the monthly payroll processes in the different East countries are properly executed
  • Challenge status quo; think outside of the box in terms of solutions; proactively seek for advice and solutions that are aligned with the European HR teams.
  • Ensure that SAP modules (e.g. Org Mgmt., Recruitment) and employee related documents (contracts, warnings, promotion letters, etc.) are up to date on a permanent basis
  • Responsible for a smooth employee exit process and act as legal adviser for the Senior Management in East

Requisite Education and Experience:

 

  • University degree or equivalent (preferably main subject Personnel Management)
  • Experience of living abroad
  • Minimum of 9+ years progressive work experience in the field of HR
    (preferably in an international or Retail organization)
  • Coaching and Project management experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Knowledge of labour law and regulations
  • English fluent (written and oral)
  • MS-Office skills, SAP experience
  • Payroll experience
