PURPOSE

The role of Assistant Manager Sports Marketing - Tennis is to drive sports credibility and authentication for the Brand by delivering the best product to all athletes. Tennis is a key category within Specialist Sports, and the Sports Marketing team is instrumental in authenticating the Brand’s visibility and credibility on-court.
Servicing criteria adidas Tennis Partners is extremely demanding, and the role of the Assistant Manager Sports Marketing – Tennis is to:
- Provide premium and personalized servicing to our global portfolio of athletes and ambassadors
- Develop and maintain partner relations; consistently communicating with agents, athletes and brand partners
- Provide all necessary support to Specialist Sports to ensure Sports Marketing presence and servicing is maximized.
- Supporting the Global Sports Marketing Tennis team in maximizing our contractual rights packages and contribution towards achieving commercial targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Sports Marketing lead and SpSp BU (Product, Concept-to-Consumer, Brand Comms) to define products and collections promoted by the athletes Support of product planning, forecasting, tracking, product ordering and inventory management to ensure on-time/in-full delivery of products to our athletes at the right place and right time to support the business
- Support with key event planning/execution capture and document processes and contacts, KPI’s results, and post-event key learnings/implementation for future events.
- Coordinate the overall kit/product approval process with the Partners and product marketing teams according to Governing Body/Federation/Competition requirements.
- Maintain internal systems for contracts and servicing
- Be a contact point for partners regarding related issues for all service- and interlinked departments in cooperation with the Global Sports Marketing team.
- Provide support in Data Management for Specialist Sports partners, including tracking, documenting and presenting Global/Local Specialist Sports portfolio KPI’s evolution/tracking, tracking bonuses, etc
- Support in coordination of athlete visits to the World of Sport
- Collaborate and proactively manage communications and processes with Global/Local Sports Marketing community on relevant Sports Marketing initiatives
- Overall support to Global Sports Marketing team for Specialist Sports on misc. projects where needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The candidate must be highly motivated and focused with a passion to support as well as drive
projects internally as well as externally. Must be well organized with a good understanding of the Tennis sports category and strong affiliation for sport. Additionally, the individual must champion the following:

- Very good interpersonal/team skills, cross-cultural mindset
- Good project management skills
- Fluent in English, spoken and written; another language(s) is advantageous

- IT skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SAP
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree preferably in Marketing & Business Administration or Sport Management
- 2+ years work experience.
- Knowledge of the respective Sports Marketing categories and active interest in the respective Sports.
