Business Analyst DC Inventory - Temp 12 months (m/d/f)
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
The DC Inventory and Planning team is responsible to ensure healthy stock and SKU levels in all distribution centers (DCs) across the European network to guarantee its optimal utilization.
The Business Analyst DC Inventory serves as the internal expert within the EU SCM organization for an end-to-end inventory reporting. This role will maintain and continuously improve an efficient control system to ensure overall transparency and visibility on key KPIs.
In order to generate supply chain efficiencies, identify improvement/optimization opportunities and create data transparency within the EU SCM organization and its stakeholders, this reporting function provides valuable insights on the health of the DC network as is the foundation for decision making.
Furthermore, the position is able to interpretate figures and creates solution options for discussion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own end-to-end inventory reporting
- Responsible to provide visibility on storage/inventory in all DCs across European network including the required level of detail
- Derive, propose and initiate actions from current status to guarantee healthy inventory levels
- Track and monitor (historical) development
- Project future SKU levels and anticipate constraints
- Drive and push clearance activities
- Ensure they are conducted and executed consistently, having the required impact on inventory and SKU levels
- Prepare and lead regular meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure availability of aged stock for clearance
- Take ownership for returns reporting (DC and sales perspective); analyze impact on DC network
- Drive healthy inventory levels by providing solution ideas and proposal
- Prepare reports/data to support business decision making and to improve stakeholder relations
- Investigates operational needs, problems and opportunities, contributing to the continuous improvement of current reporting capabilities
- Analyze and validate Power BI opportunities and drive potential adoption
- Provide analytical support for ad hoc data requests

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong and proven analytical skills with attention to detail and information synthesis abilities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion

- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- In depth knowledge of supply chain mechanics and flow of goods
- Operations as well as commercial mind set, end-to-end thinking
- Strong team player with proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and objectives.
- Strong competence and experience in MS Office; (with high emphasis on Excel and Access)
- Power BI and SAP knowledge desirable
- fluent in English (verbal and written)
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- College or university degree with focus on Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent education
- 2+ years of related work experience in international and/or cross-functional teams, preferably in a Supply Chain Management function
