Design Director - Graphics - Creative Direction (m/f/d)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
As a global sport and sport-culture brand, deeply understanding our consumer in the context of our rapidly changing world is essential to our growth & success. This role focuses on leveraging graphic design to maintain and grow our sport & cultural relevance. The Design Director for Graphics will drive the product visual representation of our brand, ensuring alignment with sport, cultural and design trends, and delivering innovative graphic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Graphic Design Solutions: Develop and implement a comprehensive graphic design seolutions that align with the brand's vision and business goals for product design.
- Trend Analysis & Application: Interpret global consumer, sport, cultural, and design trends into actionable graphic content to inform product creation processes.
- Creative Direction: Provide creative direction for graphic design projects, ensuring consistency and alignment with overall brand aesthetics.
- Innovative Solutions: Drive innovative graphic design solutions that push the boundaries of traditional sports and lifestyle expression.
- Resource Management: Establish and maintain a resource library of relevant graphic trends and insights for use across the organization.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Tend & Insights, Product Design, Color and BU Graphic Design teams to ensure cohesive visual communication.
- Project Oversight: Oversee multiple graphic design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Educational Workshops: Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate internal teams on current graphic design trends and their application to the brand in close collaboration with the Education team.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of graphic designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- External Partnerships: Develop and manage relationships with external agencies, artists, and designers to bring fresh perspectives and expertise into the brand.

- Creative Direction & Innovation: Leadership VP & SDDs; BU Design VPs & Directors.
- Graphics Teams in BUs.
- BU Categories.
- Open Source Partners: Academics, Maker/Design Culture, Sports Science & Innovation Research Fields.

- Proven track record in Product Graphics, Graphic Design, Typography and Illustration

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years) from a college/university in graphic design, industrial design, art, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the respective field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading a design team.
- Hands-on graphic design experience, including management experience.
