Manager Labeling & Handling (m/f/d)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Manage the development and sourcing of labels, hangtags and transportation packaging that meet the needs of Marketing and Subsidiaries, for all products, divisions and brands (including licensing operations, as appropriate). Ensure that logistical and financial requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support new Marketing concepts by ensuring that all aspects of Labeling and Packaging are considered and defined.
- Provide both technical and legal compliance input to Marketing, Design and Project Management for new labeling and transportation packaging requirements while ensuring that the items are suitable for bulk production and stay within the given parameters for cost, time and location.
- Identify labeling requirements in respect to Marketing and Market needs that comply with the legal and customs requirements of the importing countries as well as the warehouse and distribution requirements.
- Manage development of Product Labels for all products, divisions and brands and implement for production globally.
- Manage development of Marketing Hangtags for all products and brands and implement for production globally.
- Work interactively with LOs, Tier-I and Tier-II suppliers to resolve label, hangtag and packaging issues.
- Establish project timelines that meet the requested deadlines expected by Marketing, Costing and Project Management (buy ready) and coordinate the input from 3rd parties (Marketing, Global Design & Events, PrePrint Provider, Label Provider) accordingly. Anticipate and resolve problems.
- Negotiate global pricing for labels and hangtags with Tier-II suppliers.
- Ensure masterdata records in Creation Portal and Sharepoint are correct and available on time.
- Manage label, hangtag and transportation packaging costing, maintain cost database and provide price information to the Costing department and LOs.
- Work with Tier-1 suppliers and material supply teams in all divisions to ensure that production timelines are met and communicate production relevant details to factories and LOs for all new or changed items.
- Maintain digital and physical archives for Product Labels and Marketing Hangtags.
- Maintain global Labeling and Packaging manuals in Sharepoint.
- Maintain global Hangtag Sharepoint for all products, divisions and brands.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of logistics’ computer applications, MS-Excel, MS-Word, MS-Powerpoint, and MS-Access.
- Two to five years experience in product development, preferably with knowledge of the footwear, textiles industries.
- Proven experience in business analysis and prior involvement in the different stages of information gathering, analysis, recommendation and evaluation processes.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- A four-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on the areas of business, information systems, or operations.
