Senior Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

 

Corporate Accounting prepares accurate consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and external regulations.

 

This position is located in Herzogenaurach responsible for execution of Treasury Middle & Back Office related activities, including (below mentioned focus areas which are not exhaustive):

  • Ensuring correct and daily execution of key responsibilities in the Treasury Middle & Back Office according to the requirements of Group policies, procedures and guidelines, and according to the Group Finance Manual for the entire (Treasury Back Office)
  • Drives organizational effectiveness through communication with banks and the identification and communication of process improvement opportunities
  • Contact person for the Corporate Treasury Department
  • Functional expert on all matters relating to Treasury Middle & Back Office

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the supervisor to partner with the business on all Treasury Middle & Back Office issues
  • Ensure smooth running of In-house banking processes
  • Communicate actively with banks and verify the outstanding bank transactions
  • Ensure smooth running of treasury deals confirmation process
  • Ensure correct set-up of Quantum Treasury Management System and smooth running of its interface into SAP
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation prepared by rest of team
  • Support annual EMIR audit
  • Represent Treasury Back Office in Group Treasury projects and act as deputy for Manager of Treasury Back Office
  • Prepare year-end reports and data analysis for external auditors

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent IT Skills (Microsoft, SAP)
  • Industrial or Business apprentice
  • Minimum of 5 years practical accounting experience
  • Good knowledge of general accounting rules (IFRS/ local GAAP) and experience with auditors and year end closing
