Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Internal Communication Team inspires, engages and informs; ensuring employees are clear on our strategy and are passionate advocates of the adidas brand. The team works to develop strategic messaging, leadership communication and change communication to all employees in Europe and Global Sales. They also leverage the power of the adidas brand to engage and motivate our people. This role is a key part of the wider Head Office & Internal Comms team for Europe and Global Sales.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director - Internal Communication & Head Office in developing and executing the Europe communication plan.
  • Support the development of key narratives and storytelling aligned to business priorities, landing these narratives with employees clearly and consistently.
  • Deliver compelling leadership communication linked to strategic narratives, including high-quality PowerPoint presentations, to be delivered by board-level leaders.
  • Deliver high-quality communication across multiple channels, including email, social media, longform text, video and live events.
  • Responsible for driving optimal communication channel mix to drive awareness, engagement and understanding of key messaging.
  • Drive the execution of high-quality internal events; including all-employee meetings that are streamed to multiple markets and locations.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee engagement plans, leveraging sport, lifestyle and major brand moments to inspire employees.
  • Coordinate change and crisis communication, working in partnership with relevant teams in HR, other functions and senior stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with other business functions required to deliver impactful communication, including HR, Business Development and Finance.
  • Foster strong relationships with other communications professionals in adidas’ communications teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of communication and business topics and external business drivers
  • Excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal (quality, consistency and accuracy), specifically strong PowerPoint presentation creation skills
  • Experience of effectively managing relationships with senior leaders
  • Ability to maneuver in consistently changing environment
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally
  • Thorough understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company
  • Ability to effectively brief internal and external content creation teams (agencies) to deliver creative briefs
  • Business fluency in English
  • Excellent writing, organizational and event planning skills
  • Ability to think and act strategically and develop operational plans
  • Hands-on, can-do attitude
  • Passion for sport and the adidas brand

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in business studies/marketing/communication or sports
  • 5-8+ years relevant work experience
