Senior Manager Performance Management - Brand (m/f/d)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
As Senior Manager PM Brand - Margin you will be responsible for bringing top-notch financial support to the SVP Finance Europe & Commercial, the Commercial & Cluster FP&A Europe, the European BUs and Range Architecture Europe, helping them achieve their respective objectives and our overall adidas goals. You will provide business transparency and bring recommendations to your business partners, facilitating fact-based decision making. In addition, you will play an integral role in both short- and long-term planning and tracking of major KPIs, e.g. Go-In Margin, Standard Margin and Cost of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional:
- Facilitate yearly fiscal margin target setting for Europe in close alignment with Global expectations, providing analysis and scenario planning
- Analyse Europe Go-In and Standard Margin development (ACT/BOH vs. RFC/TAR) on a regular basis, highlighting risks & opportunities, and creating transparency to the Europe FP&A community
- Manage & execute standardized reporting and ad-hoc analysis around the seasonal and fiscal margin development of Europe
- Manage seasonal range planning process with detailed analysis on pricing and Go-In Margin as required to optimize brand and financial impact
- Analyse and simulate pricing strategies to maximize profitability and optimal product mix
- Drive compliance with the EU Pricing Policy across the organisation; further optimize and ensure execution of the defined process & procedures and provide appropriate compliance documentation on a seasonal basis for the EU controls testing process
- Partner with the IBP team to provide required information to improve the IBP margin planning through GSP, LCP and product mix development assumptions on key category level
- Design, develop and implement state of the art analytic tools to support the seasonal and fiscal margin planning and the seasonal pricing processes
- Lead medium- to large-sized projects, implement findings and ensure sustainability of achievements
- Create new and improved working methods that significantly contribute to the overall department’s or business partners’ success
- Significantly contribute to the further development of horizontal margin management topics such as planning processes (e.g., IBP, seasonal range planning, financial forecasting, etc.)
- Develop and implement adequate communication packages to present derived results, recommendations, and solutions to FP&A Europe and the European SLT
Personnel:
- Recruit, coach, motivate and develop direct report while advocating an obsession with driving the business and winning the consumer
- Provide guidance and consultation for direct report through the sharing of best practice techniques, mentoring and helping to set priorities
- Establish an entrepreneurial growth and learning mindset within the team (direct report and overall department) with a strong bias for technical innovation and agile ways of working; complement with a strong drive for action & execution
- Set clear objectives and assess direct report against them
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities within the team
- Create an environment enabling direct report to perform at maximum potential and to further develop

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent MS-Office knowledge, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Solid experience with SAP and Power BI / MSTR is a must
- Knowledge of, or experience with, Excel’s Power Query is a strong plus
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in business administration or finance, MBA preferred
- 5-8 years’ professional experience in a related field
- Experience in marketing- or brand-driven environment preferred
