Senior Manager Store Design - Europe HUB (m/f/d)
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:
This role supports the Store Development commercial HUB team, which is responsible for maximizing the profitability of our European Own Retail & Franchise store portfolio by ensuring commercial excellence through retail store design and concept development/planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of retail store design and layouts for roll-out; for own retail and franchise
- Manage and deliver store design and concept development within brand standards and guidelines
- Ensure concepts meet market and customer needs. This includes the creation of future developments and refinements of existing concepts from a commercial retail designer point of view
- Responsible for leading and coordinating the flow of related information between internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that all projects are optimized to their maximum potential
- Manage various pilot and roll-out programs for Store Development
- Manage full overview of market concepts implementation; which store concept, typology, stratification level, where, why, cost
- Lead all store design phases according to brand concept guidelines; incl. internal planning team and external agencies
- Oversee holistic and functional store planning -FOH & BOH layout, façade design, and store interiors ‘look-and-feel’
- Ensure end to end process alignment with relevant internal and external stakeholders; including relevant sign-off
- Management and development of the store planning portal, to ensure project capacity and delays
- Managing and tracking of concept costs against capex budget and business KPIs
- Managing and tracking of all (new) development costs for fixtures/furniture and testing/prototyping
- Manage and drive multiple SD HUB conceptual and implementation projects within EU markets; deliver on time and on budget
- Build strong business relationship with SD managers in markets to gather and share updates, insights, feedback, and opportunites
- Develop and implement guidelines and tools for market implementation of concepts and commercial design tools
- Leverage functional knowledge to improve design efficiency and actively drive process improvements to ensure speed to market; self-initiate assignments with emphasis on commercial design improvements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Commercial design focused
- Deep knowledge and experience in retail design
- Strong spacial planning understanding and vision
- Visualisation skills [2D & 3D]: Autocad, Sketch-up, Creative Cloud. IT Other: MS Office
- Furniture design, building design and construction knowledge
- Retail operations knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and flexibity; process-oriented
- Strong presentation skills with ability to convey ideas
- Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player
- Ability to work cross functional
- Ability to respond to adhoc tasks
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional language is an advantage
- Ability to travel
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree preferred in one of the following areas: Architecture, interior design, industrial design, or equivalent
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in retail and design; store development, store design, layout design
- Project management experience
- International retail/store development experience
