Technology Consultant (m/f/d)

The Technology Consultant drives the design, configuration, and optimization of software solutions and systems that enable the business to move faster and smarter. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong advisory capability, translating business needs into scalable, high-impact solutions across the adidas technology landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BUSINESS ANALYSIS

  • Identifies operational needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities, shaping recommendations for both automated and non-automated process changes.
  • Supports the definition of acceptance criteria and validation approaches for proposed solutions.

REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION AND MANAGEMENT

  • Leads scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization for smaller change initiatives, while contributing to more complex transformation efforts.
  • Applies agreed standards and proven techniques to capture, structure, and document detailed requirements.
  • Constructively challenges stakeholders to strengthen clarity, feasibility, and business impact.
  • Prioritizes requirements and maintains clear traceability back to source and business value.
  • Reviews requirements rigorously to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contributes to establishing and maintaining a strong requirements baseline.
  • Evaluates and manages approved changes to baselined requirements in line with change management standards.

PORTING/SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION

  • Supports the configuration of software and equipment, as well as the testing of platform-specific software versions across one or more products.
  • Documents defects, implements fixes, and retests solutions to meet agreed quality standards.

APPLICATION SUPPORT

  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves application issues in line with agreed support processes.
  • Uses application management tools to monitor performance and gather meaningful operational insights.
  • Executes agreed application maintenance activities to ensure stable, reliable service delivery.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Proven experience as a Technology Analyst or Consultant in complex enterprise environments spanning multiple domains and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • E2E Business processes and how they map into technical processes and platforms
    • Data & asset-centric platforms (e.g. Digital Asset Management)
    • Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and their role in modern pipeline design, including AI-enabled services
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Prototyping and evaluating AI-enabled solutions
    • Integrating AI services with enterprise platforms

 

COLLABORATION

    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams
    • Ability to contribute valuable insights in discovery, assessment, and solution design workshops
    • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value and compelling narratives
    • Supports the creation of development roadmaps and business cases that drive informed decisions

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in product-centric, creative, or design-driven environments is a strong plus
    • Background in consumer goods or digital product development is beneficial
