Assistant Technical Designer, Apparels

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

Develop industry-leading creative solutions for assigned concepts or categories to create a highly relevant, desirable, and clear adidas brand image, from sell-in to sellout (consumer-facing).  Focus on SMUs and Rapid Creation to align with customer behavior and market trends. Leverage factory proximity to optimize processes. Collaborate on technical aspects, materials, and speed to market, driving efficiency and margins. Manage projects and cross-functional interactions with Design, Marketing, Sourcing, T1 & T2 ensuring strategic alignment and effective implementation. while supporting pre-season toolbox and additional colours.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change agent /management: Be an integral part of a team that will establish the end-to-end process for speed creation, emphasizing strong partnerships and collaboration with suppliers. Ensuring seamless integration and optimization of processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and product value.

 

  •  Translate Design into Technical Specifications: Convert creative design concepts into detailed technical packages including measurements, construction details, trims, and materials in Clo 3D. Ensure all technical details are finalized before bulk production.

 

  • Carry over & Colour ups: Own the update of technical packs for all carry-over styles and color-up additions, including any late adds, ensuring accurate specifications with quick response to vendors and cross-functional teams.

 

 

 

  • Research and Development: Support preseason preparation based on global HQ's seasonal priorities. In collaboration with T1&T2 develop toolboxes with diverse creative resources and materials to enhance the design process. Identify emerging materials for pre seasonal exploration.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the HQ/Sourcing / T1&T2 team to ensure holistic storytelling and with cross-functional team members to ensure consumer- and brand-focus.
  • Product Finalization: Create a comprehensive tech pack that aligns with the global brief. Oversee the product finalization process to ensure all specifications are met. 
  • Presentation and Communication: Present and communicate creative ideas clearly, effectively pitching concepts that resonate with the consumer or key accounts.
  • Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for improvement and change and initiate own proposals/projects ensuring speed quality and value.
  • Ensures all product milestones are achieved in a fast-paced creation process and establishes better working practices to advance processes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • IT Skills: Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Design Apps: Expert proficiency in& CLO 3D & design applications. Comprehensive knowledge of Tech pack building from design sketch phase to manufacturing

Strong knowledge in Pattern, Apparel construction, Material and Trims

  • Visual and Verbal Skills: Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create impactful/exciting visuals.
  • Language: Excellent proficiency in English; fluency in local language is a plus.

 

Requisite Education:

·         University/Design School graduate in the area of Industrial Design.

·         At least 5 years relevant work experience

·         Good knowledge of lifestyle and sport culture

·         Knowledge of the commercial channel beneficial

·         Excellent English knowledge (oral & written).
