Manager, Field Operations (6-month contract)
Purpose
A key player in Global Sourcing is driving the vision to become the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
Support execution of Sourcing Sustainability programs, guide facilities based on adidas sustainability policies and requirements to achieve targets.
Key reponsibilities
- Support the implementation of Sourcing Sustainability programs, focus on Environmental aspects in compliance with relevant regulations and requirements
- Guide facilities to understand and comply with adidas sustainability policies, requirements. Provide technical support and ensure facilities meet all Sourcing Sustainability program requirements and targets.
- Track, analyse facilities’ performance, and provide guidance on non-compliance case and further drive improvement.
- Ensure suppliers’ awareness and readiness on Sourcing Sustainability programs
- Identify risks and offer recommendations based on legal obligations, strategic commitments or adidas requirements.
- Provide insights on Sourcing Sustainability programs to stakeholders to refine programs and system development.
- Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong business acumen, analytics , and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Solid knowledge on environmental laws, regulations and management systems including ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 9000, etc
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Strong written and verbal English, any other regional (Asia Pacific) language is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Requisite Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in BSc Environmental Science or other related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing environmental related aspects, with solid experience in apparel or footwear is preferred
- At least 3 years’ experience in environmental audit or assessment
