Key Account Manager - Accessories
KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER ACCESSORIES
PURPOSE
Lead the product and brand strategy for accessories across major retail partners including Journeys, Urban Outfitters, Shoe Palace, Finish Line, Hibbett, and Hat World. As Key Account Manager, you will guide category performance through impactful sell‑in and sell‑through execution, partnering closely with merchandising, retail activation, and cross-functional teams to achieve profitable, sustainable growth. Your work will influence how consumers experience adidas accessories across the marketplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LEAD SALES AND PROFIT PERFORMANCE
Use strong business acumen and retail math to guide top- and bottom-line results, identifying opportunities to enhance account performance.
DEVELOP STRATEGIC ACCOUNT PLANS
Create sales strategies grounded in consumer insights, buyer needs, and category direction to support retail success.
OVERSEE SELL IN AND SELL THROUGH EXECUTION
Partner with marketing, retail activation, and merchandising to deliver programs that elevate visibility and strengthen sell-through.
BUILD STRONG ACCOUNT PARTNERSHIPS
Develop productive relationships with internal teams and account partners to support collaboration, communication, and aligned execution.
ENSURE OPERATIONAL AND REPORTING EXCELLENCE
Manage forecasting, reporting, compliance, and issue resolution to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and operational clarity.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of key retail and profitability metrics
- Ability to use financial data to inform decisions and influence outcomes
- Ability to build logical assortment plans aligned to space, inventory, and sell-through needs
- Effective communication and negotiation skills across teams and levels
- Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- Minimum eight years of field sales experience, preferably with key accounts in consumer goods or sporting goods
- Ability to travel up to 50 percent
- Ability to lift and carry samples up to 25 lbs

- This is a home-based role open to candidates in Indianapolis, IN or Chicago, IL.
