Manager Brand Projects

Purpose:

Drives current local production projects for Turkey (Local Footwear Production, Locker Room, Local Article Creation, Responsiveness/Nearshoring) and plays an active role in discovering new local initiatives with the role of maximizing net sales opportunities, decreasing costs for profitability and optimizing operational processes. Aims for excellence in the end-to-end project management of the current plans actively in contact with global/EM hub, LO contacts as well as internal stakeholders trying to understand the country needs. Collaborates regularly with global and hub counter parts and provides clear and relevant commercial input in terms of local market particularities, and channel/operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:  

 

LOCAL FOOTWEAR PRODUCTION:

  • Managing all the communication regarding local footwear production with Urgan team and global LO regarding the status of current process and future capacity ramp up processes.
  • Actively driving local & global LO teams for possible kids FTW factory to increase Turkey’s local footwear production capabilities and capacity to drive NS and optimize profitability.
  • Working closely with relevant category managers regarding the possible range, costs and future updates on those.
  • Interacting with sales teams frequently to understand market & channel specific needs and opportunities.
  • Making necessary updates to finance, sales, SCM, legal, demand planning teams & Senior Leadership Team for visibility and approvals if required.
  • Onboarding EM HUB BU teams and responsiveness project stakeholders regarding status and future needs.
  • Getting involved in the future necessary updates on the current manufacturing agreement regarding terms & conditions requiring changes (payment terms, delivery timelines, etc.).
  • Analyzing the success & status of the project and making necessary communications.

 

 

 

 

LOCKER ROOM:

  • Being in contact with project team members & internal stakeholders regarding the status, technical or practical development areas and follow up on the actionable areas.
  • Working closely with Team Sports team and football/basketball/volleyball category teams to ensure the right timeline for range building, design finalization and forecast/order placement in the system.
  • Actively seeking out ways to increase the potential of the Locker Room and transferring the production to Turkey.
  • Analyzing the success & status of the project and making necessary communications.

 

LOCAL ARTICLE CREATION:

 

  • Actively collaborating with project team members, EM and global contacts for step-by-step building of the local article creation system based on country & operational needs
  • Working closely with LO office, Urgan & possible manufacturers and sales teams to identify the possibilities to decrease costs, create differentiation for the country and increase net sales.
  • Discussing opportunities with relevant project/EM contacts on possible realization options.

 

RESPONSIVENESS/NEARSHORING & ADDITIONAL LOCAL PROJECT INITIATIVES:

 

  • Continuously exploring how to respond to country local production & operational needs (responsiveness project), actively being in contact with project team members and sales teams to identify opportunities and next steps.
  • Exploring nearshoring options (sourcing from logistically close countries, rather than Asia) when local production is not possible.
  • Following up the Turkey nearshoring workshop notes with internal stakeholders & project team members.
  • Working closely with LO, the relevant category team members, Sales, Supply Chain and Team Sports team to identify the product needs, follow up the feasibility, costing & delivery lead time options.
  • Analyzing the success & status of the initiatives.  
  • Constantly collaborating with sales, supply chain, category & team sports team to be able to understand additional pain points (early cut offs, systematical/operational blocks) and opportunities to grow as Turkey and communicate the needs with project team members & EM hub contacts.

 

 

KPIs:

  • Executional excellence in managing the local production processes (timelines, stakeholder management).
  • Results of the project after GO-LIVE (NS increase, cost decrease, operational efficiency).
  • Exploration & implementation of new initiatives.
  • Increase of local production articles & quantities in Turkey.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., relationship management, collaboration, creativity, confidence and facilitation)
  • Strong cross functional experience, across merchandising, category management, brand and sales
  • Structured, organized and process oriented.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must.

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in business, ideally with business development, marketing & sales focus or equivalent professional experience
  • > 5 years of Project Management/Product Management Experience ideally in sporting goods, fashion or FMCG
  • Strong presentation/communications and influencing skills IT skills: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint: advanced.
