Manager, Retail Operation

Purpose/ Mission:

Deliver the performance targets set for their businesses based on an in-depth understanding of local retail environment and retail operations. Direct

operations of Retail business activities to ensure current and future plans of the organization are met. Oversee and direct activities of Retail and store

managers in the achievement of business objectives

  • Implement Retail operating procedures, policies and controls. Ensure Retail Operation Excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis as appropriate.
  • Develop and review marketing plans and opportunities to deliver sales and profitability target.
  • Ensure delivery of 100% Customer Satisfaction & MSP results

 

Data analysis:

 

  • Supervise the preparation of new store business forecasts, budgets and reports on aspects of profitability, capital expenditure and operation performance where appropriate.
  • Participate in group business planning and monitor results and policies of competitive organizations whe preparing future plans and strategies.
  • Manage key retail related research programs (mystery shopper & competitor benchmarking) and use the results to develop performance supporting projects for the markets
  • Track and benchmark (internally & externally) the markets performance, identify areas in need of support and develop projects with the markets to improve performance 

 

Budget & Expenses:

 

  • Prepare and monitor revenue and expenditure in the retail stores/outlets to ensure attainment of profit objectives.

 

People: 

 

  • Provide coaching & feedback to direct reports and foster their performance development
  • Provide effective Standard Operation Training to Store Operations team
  • Contribute retail operations expertise to internal and external retail training program development Controlling: s Store Operation’s KPIs s Tracking of own KPIs 

 

Professional background/ Experience:

  • Preferably 4+ years of managerial experience in Retail Operations
  • Preferably in apparel/ fashion/ footwear
  • Ability to work in international environment
  • University degree in Business Administration or Economics or equivalent 
  • Advance experience in Microsoft tools
