Director, Material Planning & Allocation
Purpose
A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Drive global materials allocation process by translating sourcing strategy into a seasonal allocation plan, meeting the Company objectives and critical priorities by optimizing product availability, landed costs, speed, risk balancing and putting consumers at the heart of everything we do. Drive sourcing plans satisfying the demand needs of the markets by optimizing the resources of the global supply base. Enable material allocations capabilities & strategies through digitalization and collaboration with cross-functional partners. Drive improvements in the key metrics of availability and agility.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic growth of T2s and continuously optimize our supply base towards agility & availability.
- Direct seasonal allocation to guide all possible duty avoidance worldwide, aligned with T2 capacities and capabilities.
- Drive initiatives such as lead time reductions, seasonal development allocation, and better order management with T2s to enable speed to market and responsiveness.
- Collaborate internally and externally to reduce complexity and generate insightful information in order to achieve materials sourcing strategy.
- Provide both Marketing and Customer forecasts explosion on material level to internal teams and external business partners.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with business units and supplier facing teams to ensure quick resolution of issues, as well as engage them in the execution of the material sourcing strategy.
- Provide strategic inputs and regular update of supplier capabilities, capacities and growth plans necessary for the allocation process and Material Portfolio Management.
- Oversee data consolidation, coordination and reporting as rationales to materials planning and allocation decisions for senior leadership team.
- Ensure that all material planning relevant processes and policies for material sourcing operations are informed at a global level engaging both Liaison Offices and Creation Centers.
- Always striving for up-to-date market trend, and most efficient digitalized system and processes to enhance materials planning capabilities.
- Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
- Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets, and strong succession plans are in place.

Requisite Education and Experience
- University degree in supply chain management, business or related field
- 10+ years work experience in the soft goods industry with a focus on planning, production, projects, or materials …etc.
- 3+ years of people management experience
