Manager, Digital Transformation - Digital Process Management & Solutions
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
At Global Logistics, we oversee the transportation of goods from their country of origin to market distribution centres, utilizing a global network of logistics partners and service providers tailored to various product, market, and customer needs.
Digital Transformation is a key focus area at adidas and a fundamental element of our Global Logistics vision. Our goals are to:
- Transform Global Logistics and inbound operations into a world-class, digital-first organization, maximizing value through data and digital technologies.
- Enable real-time visibility of our logistics supply chain with service providers, fostering an agile, transparent, and traceable supply chain via state-of-the-art digital platforms and processes.
As a Manager, you will support the design, development, and delivery of digital opportunities, collaborating with SCM, Markets, LSPs, Product teams, and data sources.
Key Objectives include:
- Develop Programs: Assist in implementing digital transformation programs to deliver efficient, high-quality, user-centered products and services.
- Digital Transformation Roadmap: Support the execution and monitoring of the digital transformation projects in alignment with organizational values and priorities.
- Change Management: Contribute to the digitization of the organization by implementing the latest technological advances.
- Foster Innovation: Explore digital innovation and best practices, benefiting stakeholders and sharing insights.
- Prioritization Approach: Help develop a roadmap for innovation based on digitization needs, translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Project Management: Assist in leading and reporting on digital transformation projects across global logistics and cross-functional teams.
- Dependency Management: Identify, track, and manage dependencies between projects and systems to ensure seamless execution and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & People Management
- Provide support and direction to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and mentor team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Set clear goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Project Management
- Identify and co-plan opportunities with leadership (simplification, digitization, automation).
- Assist in leading global, cross-functional projects end-to-end, applying PM methodology and effective communication.
- Understand project scope, establish business cases, and design project plans.
- Execute project plans by coordinating resources and managing financials.
- Lead end-to-end implementation of digital systems and solutions (SAP, ERP etc.) , ensuring seamless integration with existing platforms and processes
- Monitor project variables and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Finalize and hand over projects, ensuring all documents are approved and stored appropriately.
- Continuous Improvement
- Collect inputs from stakeholders on improvement areas.
- Develop a continuous improvement pipeline, aligning with SLT and team members on delivery timelines.
- Provide inputs to the Demand Planning funnel by assessing required budget and resources.
- Review completed projects to capture lessons learned and improve future performance.
- Dependency Management
- Identify project dependencies and their impacts, raising issues and co-creating solutions with sponsors.
- Develop contingency plans to manage risks associated with dependencies.
- Resolve conflicts and escalations by proposing solutions to project sponsors.
- Change Management
- Involve key stakeholders early to gather input, address concerns, and build support.
- Provide training and resources to help users adapt to new processes, tools, or systems.
- Empower change champions within the organization to advocate for change.
- Address resistance proactively by understanding root causes and providing support.
- Implement measures to sustain change over the long term through regular reviews and reinforcement.
- Process Management
- Apply process engineering principles to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Performance Management
- Monitor and report on product performance metrics to ensure value delivery and continuous improvement
- Analyze and assess performance metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain dynamics, logistics & transportation processes, and inventory control.
- Digital Landscape: Knowledge of digital landscape and experience in applying technology and process optimization to improve business performance.
- Cross Functional Partnership: Ability to collaborate, guide, influence and manage cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Data Analysis Skills:. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis; ability to interpret complex datasets to drive decision-making.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements in logistics processes
- Project Management: Recognized program management qualification, experience of robustly managing large budgets and have built processes and people teams to deliver digital change and transformation for the future. Proven experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), including backlog management, sprint planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- End-to-End Thinking: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of logistics process ensuring seamless integration and optimization at each stage to achieve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in logistics operations
- Decision-Making: Support strong decision-making abilities to make informed choices that enhance logistics performance
- Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in dynamic settings by quickly adapting to changing priorities, efficiently managing multiple tasks, and maintaining high performance under pressure to meet tight deadlines and achieve organizational goals
- MS Excel, Power Point, familiarity with Power BI, SAP, Infor Nexus, RPA, UI Path, Copilot and ability to learn new technical tools is a definite asset
- Market knowledge on 3PL, Transportation & Logistics related providers & networks
- Fluent English skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required.
Requisite Education and Qualifications:
- University degree with focus on Supply Chain Management/ Information Systems/ related areas, and equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in strategy, project management, digital transformation/ digital solution implementation, process re-engineering or technology role in retail brand, logistics/transport or supply chain industry
- Experience in digital transformation, AI/ML, data science, ERP implementation, UI/UX research project is a plus
- PMP/ PMI/ Agile and or AI PM or equivalent project management certification highly desirable.
- Strong background in Agile product development methodologies (Scrum, SAFe);
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred to support process optimization initiatives.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), and data visualization tools (Power BI)
