Manager, Continuous Improvement Global Logistics Operation
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Execute hands-on process improvements in Global Logistics, focusing on transportation efficiency, cost savings, and lead-time reduction. Serve as the project leader for CIP initiatives, working closely with operations team & carrier management team to implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of shipment data to pinpoint inefficiencies (e.g., high-cost lanes, underutilized carriers).
- Audit logistics processes to identify waste (time, cost, resources).
- Benchmark different transportation modes by weight/urgency and recommend optimal mode shifts (BEP calculation dashboard).
- Project Execution
- Lead specific CIP projects, such as:
- Operational process revisit
- Cost reduction initiatives
- Delivery performance improvement
- Pilot new technologies (e.g., dynamic routing tools, freight visibility platforms).
- Data & Reporting
- Build cost-savings models to contribute to entire transportation spend
- Track and report project-specific KPIs to measure the success of the projects
- Support the Senior Manager in preparing executive updates on CIP progress.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with carrier management team and operations team to test new routes/service improvements.
- Train operations team on process changes
- Resolve operational roadblocks to ensure smooth and better day to day operation
- Continuous Improvement Advocacy
- Facilitate root-cause analyses (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams) for recurring issues.
- Document standard work procedures for optimized processes.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years in logistics/transportation, with 2+ years in CI/operations improvement.
- Hands-on experience with freight audit, route planning, and logistics analytics.
- Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma (Green Belt+), with a focus on waste reduction.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, analytic tools or similar tools.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive change in operations.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations, or related field.
- Six Sigma Green Belt (mandatory); Black Belt training a plus.
