Manager - Finance & Data Analytics

Purpose:

Drive projects on data analysis, automation and process continuous improvement through creating and enhancing finance model, tools, reports, processes, systems, policies of Sourcing finance team to achieve work efficiency and effectiveness and enable fact-based business decision making.

 

Support end-to-end Financial Planning & Analysis cycle of assigned finance areas and bring finance team and business team visibility, insights, actions through the best-in-class financial analysis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Data Analysis, Digital Tools, and Projects

  • Apply data tools (e.g. PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, Databricks, etc.) to enhance the effectiveness and speed of financial analysis, and introduce the tools to peers and teammates to lift up the digital skills of finance team
  • Drive data analysis including but not limited to FOB, PPV and Trade finance for root cause analysis, deep dives or ad-hoc topics to generate meaningful insights and facilitate business decision making.
  • Facilitate business case development and costs savings initiatives by challenging, identifying and quantifying improvement potential.
  • Act as team expert in various sourcing systems, accounting systems and processes (e.g. Origo/GIM tool/SAP /BI tool) and be able to improve end to end processes of forecasting and analysis for GOPs finance team.

 

Project Management 

  • Be agile and flexible resource of finance team to support time-sensitive and critical initiatives.
  • Manage and participate finance team projects and initiatives. Challenge the status quo and aim at process enhancement and efficiency improvement of the finance team. Review regularly and adjust the projects and work scope. 
  • Support analysis and development of materials for senior leadership meeting.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Support financial planning and analysis to enhance predictability and forecast accuracy to improve visibility on impact to the company.
  • Drive analysis on variance and key drivers – both accounting related and business related, not only to provide transparency but also to implement corrective actions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability of process thinking, managing significant amount of data from multiple sources, co-relating and drawing valid conclusions with recommendations.
  • With business acumen and story-telling skills to provide insights and recommendations through analysis.  
  • Advanced business understanding of sourcing processes and systems.
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel with strong computing skills in utilizing solutions in data management (e.g. BI tools: PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau, Databricks etc.).
  • Can-do attitude, action oriented and solution-minded team player.
  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines through good planning and organizing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to interact effectively and efficiently on different layers of the organization.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • University degree in Data Analysis, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related discipline is preferred. Master degree in Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrably applicable work experience broad-based data analysis/FP&A/project management/Process optimization experience with progressive responsibility.
