Category Manager

 

Purpose:

 

Drive category business success and execution within guidelines set by LAM Business Units (BUs) and Global.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate the briefing with local expertise to the CtC range architecture team and BU CtC on needed articles, specific retailer needs such as SMUs and other volume and image driving opportunities, local market trends, and business opportunities to maximize the category´s potential in the country            

                         

  • Lead the Go to Market (GTM) execution for the assigned category within the country by ensuring all the x-functional areas are properly implemented by closely tracking for the flawless execution of the category      

                         

  • Drive the preparation of the sell-in process including: sales and marketing meeting presentations, Sell-in tools and relevant packages and exclusives. Support to Account Marketing team to make sure the other areas understand the seasonal strategy, priorities, etc for a successful sell-in

 

  • Responsible for pricing adjustments aligned with BSF BU targets and Pricing Guidelines provided by Market to standardize and maximize range profitability and alignment with Global guidelines

                                       

  • Brief local asset developments with Market and Global PMs (ie: club/fed/events) and steer approval process with the asset to ensure complete product offer in the country

                                       

  • Provide Sub-Unit BU local forecast as category expert in each specific market. Owner of the Local BU BSF to signal business potential                                  

 

  • Be the key contact for local commercial and brand activation teams for the assigned category 

                         

  • Maintain regular analytics on the sell-in and sell-out performance of the assigned category to take timely corrective actions if needed           

            

  • Provide any required scenario analysis related to the Category, and participate of 90-60-30 meetings to be fully on board on a Brand Activation perspective on status of the category                          

 

 

Requisite Education and Experience:

 

  • 4 years experience in similar roles
  • Experience leading projects
  • Advanced english
  • Minimum 1 year informal management experience required
