Assistant Manager Communications, Basketball
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Assistant Manager of Marketing Communications will support and enable the development and execution of integrated adidas Basketball marketing campaigns across athletes, partners, moments, and product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Brand Communications in developing integrated marketing and communications plans that support business unit objectives and drive effective communication activities.
- Contribute to short and long-term communications strategy aligned to the global SBP and BU priorities, including development of channel strategies based on consumer and marketing objectives.
- Manage timelines, workflows, and communication across cross-functional partners to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Maintain detailed status reports, action items, and deliverables to ensure executional excellence.
- Support campaign performance evaluation through post-mortems, KPI analysis, and coordination of research, consolidating insights and best practices into clear reports.
- Support budget management through tracking and reconciliation of estimates, invoices, and project spend as needed.
- Create and maintain presentation materials for internal and external updates.
- Build, manage, and maintain an archive of Basketball campaign creative tools and assets.
- Maintain strong awareness of consumer trends and represent the consumer voice throughout campaign development.
- Own Go-to-Market promo and sample ordering for campaigns, moments, and shoots, including seasonal process management and end-of-season liquidation.
- Support Comms Touchpoints initiatives through product seeding strategies tied to key launches, in alignment with comms and touchpoints leads.
- Own the Brand Comms global calendar (Campaign Portal) and manage Retail Intro Date (RID) communications to local markets.
- Provide IRL activation support for priority projects as assessed by Comms leads.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong passion for sports and familiarity with U.S. Basketball culture.
- Understanding of consumer behavior, brand building, and integrated campaign planning.
- Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Requisite Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of marketing, communications, or related experience.
- Digital and/or communications experience preferred.

- Employees are eligible to earn an annual bonus based on both company and personal performance. Employees accrue prorated flexible time off in the amount .4388 hours per day that increases with years of service, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year and Service Time Off during milestone years.
- The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $78,000 - $86,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
- At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Los Angeles, California.
