Director Culture Marketing - Music/Fashion/Film

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

 

Lead strategic initiatives that connect the adidas brand to our target consumers through use of global and local celebrities, media and entertainment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead, own, manage cultural spaces - Music Film TV Fashion Streetwear Art, Deliver insights into brand, CM Pillar strategy, Partner and Network Portfolio and Activation
  • Support brand need from brand desire, demand creation and commercialization 
  • Be able to lead manage negotiate high level collaboration and partner contracts.
  • Lead team of relationship management excellence with full deliverable execution and talent management. Responsible for delivery of the partner or network talent, activations and placements across all needs on time and in full with milestone and executional deadlines.
  • Work seamlessly with cross functional partners within cm and within the brand bu and functions 
  • Develop and drive processes and strategy to support key global (and local) product and  activations that ensure successful sell-in/sell-out of product ranges
  • Act as the link between BU creation teams, Brand Marketing, Culture Marketing and Category Marketing Teams for area of responsibility.
  • Manage all CM related topics throughout the development of category/sub brand seasonal plans.
  • Ensure CM strategy is implemented in any product or brand marketing initiatives that involve CM Talent
  • Provide direction to and support key brand strategies through cross-functional collaboration and execution
  • Curate the Culture Marketing Partner and Network community and ensure they receive world class service.
  • Proactively work with external partners to align the adidas brand with the key global influencers
  • Develop and drive process improvements in Cultural Pillar Strategy, Partner Signing Process, Relationship Management and Reporting
  • Evaluate the key markets/ channels to ensure proper implementation of marketing strategies. Use regular analysis and business relevant information to develop future plans that include CM partners and network for advertising or activation (eg social media, appearances)
  • Lead strategic projects on a cross-functional and /or functional-/category- specific level.
  • Direct the management of multiple marketing project budgets according to brand priorities and business initiatives while ensuring all aspects of the plan are within estimated budget.
  • Manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines to ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports

  • Experience in managing teams – within both direct and informal matrix environment
  • Skill in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Language skills: English, Another European language advantageous
  • IT skills: Advanced MS office suite, advanced powerpoint

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • University degree or equivalent education required
  • 8 years of relevant work experience
  • 3 years working with key markets or 1 year working in a top tier adidas market

Employees accrue prorated flexible time off in the amount .4388 hours per day that increases with years of service, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year and Service Time Off during milestone years.
  • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $140,000 - $205,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
  • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote.  The working location of this position is Los Angeles, California.
  • Though our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
