SENIOR MANAGER, CULTURE MARKETING

 

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

Contribute strategy and initiative to connect the adidas brand to our target consumers through the use of global and local celebrities, media and entertainment.

Responsible for strategically managing Culture Marketing category activity. Ensure effective communication flow between all internal parties and external counterparts.  Assure relevant brand activity with Influencers and Entertainers. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage CM internal and external remits  fom top to bottom, across all relevant touchpoints
  • Strategically contribute to global CM pillar strategy  by defining celebrity and influencer partner and network as well as managing relationships through entire process  from signing to servicing*
  • Assist Global Director in managing external agencies and global/local/regional CM implementation *
  • Oversee category specific Brand Marketing objectives form CM Drive and implement strategic category plans in conjunction with category and counterparts
  • Strategically develop and manage Music brand integration from placement targeting specific brand initiatives as well as leverage marketing integration to drive key commercial opportunities either at own retail, wholesale partners, etc.
  • Maintain global brand recognition and relevant brand visibility through strategic product placement, industry/consumer events and brand integration platforms in entertainment.  Identify opportunities to connect entertainers and influencers to our brand through content creation, activations, campaigns, seeding etc. events.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of CM responsibilities within brand events.  This includes concept development, event planning, visual merchandising, monitoring collateral design, managing staff, celebrity outreach and event wrap up.  Project/event management
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams– product design, product marketing, brand comms, PR, digital/social, legal, finance, markets and CtC
  • Partner Servicing - place product orders for partner(s) requests, arrange travel for talent + team. Must maintain current product knowledge and clear target market objectives.
  • Partner Strategy Execution – manage coordination and usage of appearance, production, PR services within contract term and obtain all necessary approvals for images, digital mechanics, and usage rights
  • Assure invoices are processed in a timely manner per contract payment schedule
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the Culture Marketing industry.  Attend internal brand or external industry events for networking, when relevant.

Act as Department lead in absence of Director – supervise, train, mentor and oversee other CM team members on logistical elements of the position, protocol of department and dynamics of the industry.

  • Strong understanding of and passion for fashion/streetwear preferred.

  • Solid contacts in the fashion, lifestyle media industry.

  • Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-pace environment.
  • Knowledge of international working environments a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Exercise professionalism at all times
  • Unconventional business hours may be required. (evenings, weekends)
  • Travel, domestic and international, as required by business needs.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

 

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years marketing experience within a consumer goods company.
  • Experience with integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working in an international environment is an asset.

  • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is $$115,724.74-$152,000. Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, proficiency for the role.
  • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote.  The working location of this position is Los Angeles. 
  • Though our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
