Manager Brand Comms - Outdoor Europe (m/f/d)

Purpose

The Manager Brand Communications develops an impactful, integrated, through-the-line, marketing communications package to support adidas’ European market and specific BU marketing and business objectives.

With high focus on digital coms channels the Manager Brand Comms is pushing brand activation in the clusters, driving campaigns and activations in close collaboration and alignment with all BU and market touchpoints to grow the category and net sales across on all channels.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Support creation of the overall Europe BU Business Plan (Seasonal, Annual and SBP)
  • Manage creation of a seasonal and annual brand marketing strategy and activation plan that lands the BU priorities and significantly improves Brand KPI’s – this includes Attack Plans for CEW & UK and integration of lead Sports Marketing / EIM assets.
  • Activation of seasonal brand comms calendar and activation plans for all communication channels (Media, Digital/Social, Event/Trade Shows)
  • Define and coordinate cost efficient media planning across all appropriate communication channels and tools to drive business for .com and whs.com
  • Support allocation of Category flexi MWB across countries and across the marketing mix to best improve Brand and Business KPI’s
  • Manage executional excellence in the Focus Countries of the Category and Brand Plan and reporting of its performance against the Brand and Business KPI’s
  • Strong collaboration with the global BU counterparts to ensure Brand Marketing tools are optimised to best meet european Country needs and significantly improve Brand Business KPI’s
  • Ensuring that the best sell-in tools are delivered for the Category, and augment where needed with Global approval.
  • Ensure efficient usage of all provided tools (sell in and sell out) across all communication channels; newsroom, onmichannel, sports marketing activation, EIM
  • Collaborate with Key City Activation Manager to ensure category concepts are included in the Key City Activation Plans.
  • Handle local market requests in a responsible manner and provide coordinated feedback
  • Correspond with external partners and suppliers in terms of budget.
  • Support the team in managing post-production and internal approvals

Knowledge, Experiance and Capabilities

  • Good interpersonal/communication skills and level of strategic thinking.
  • Experience in marketing communications, campaign development and execution
  • Have a good understanding of the Consumer Campaign Process from brief through to execution
  • Strong knowledge for digital campaign touchpoints: Media buys, e-com and whs.com
  • Creative capacity / awareness
  • Solid knowledge of online and social media marketing tools and channels
  • Ability to manage and / or collaborate with internal and external cross-functional groups: product marketing, brand comms, social, digital.
  • Ability to build strong relationships (Agency Management)
  • Consolidated understanding of and passion for outdoor sports.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.

 

Qualifications

  1. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail, Digital or a related field. Master Degree / MBA a plus.
  2. 4+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
  3. Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
  4. Proven media planning / buying experience
