Manager DTC Buying

 

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

 

Prepare the Planning and Buying process across DTC adidas Concept Stores. Actively contribute to the OTB planning and management, defining optimal volumes to provided channel ranges. Execute in-season Trading decisions to meet store stock requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Implementation of channel pre-season strategy for aligned OTB Planning & Management following the market financial targets
  • Manage buying process for the assigned channel(s) and assure right volumes are bought following market OTB plans and in accordance with the Market CTC Assortment Plan teams
  • Prepare the submission of initial seasonal forecasts for OR/FR channels into applicable systems for horizontal review by global functions at key milestones
  • Manage the size breakdowns for OR/FR channels process assuring they are created according to market needs and incorporated in the buying process
  • Responsible for market seasonal stock position assuring the right volumes are available in stores and warehouse(s), and inform of changes to Allocation teams
  • Provide market in-season trading, assuring timely sales forecast by product, stock intakes and in-season markdowns for OR/FR
  • Provide input to Market CTC Assortment Planning teams in regard to range needs by store tier
  • Manage market relevant store tiering process following global store tiering guidance, in collaboration with CTC Assortment Planning teams.
  • Drive for effective flow of stock from OR/FR to assure product relevance in regular stores, adequate stock clearance and margin optimisation
  • Build and leverage relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g. CTC, Allocation & Trading) to obtain information necessary to achieve business objectives

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Relevant job experience in a Planning & Buying function, and fully qualified and trained
  • Combined broad theoretical and practical knowledge incl. company policies and practices
  • Strong competence with Buying & Planning, procedures and systems

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

·5 years typical relevant work experience

  • University degree in business, ideally with marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience
