Manager Inventory Planning
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE OF THE ORGANIZATION:
• To manage the sales and inventory planning of all DTC channels under the growth of our Retail business.
• Monitor the process of sales, inventory replenishment and allocation planning, in close collaboration with other teams to maximize sales and inventory efficiency. Key KPIs include OTB, sales, turn, fill rate, sell through, discount, margin, closing inventory, inventory day lasting IDL etc.
• Implement structured processees and foster a data-driven approach to enhance decision-making and optimize inventory management.
• Work closely with the merchandise planning, supply planning, buying and other functions to ensure merchandise assortments across all HK DTC channels support the financial delivery of the strategic plan, continually improving inventory efficiency across locations and channels of the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead monthly merchandise plan reviews and overseeing all analytical activities including the development, interpretation and hindsight of key operational metrics to drive process improvements, resulting in increased inventory productivity and efficiencies.
• Monitor weekly sales results and meet with cross-functional teams to review inventory status and latest demands. Provide financial information at SKU level to review current business against projections, plans, and historical information. Make tactical adjustments based on current trends as needed.
• Plan and implement stock control management, apply effective strategies to ensure optimal cross channel stock control. Ensure stock re-allocation and consolidation between channels/stores and review regularly.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement where appropriate new Inventory Management methodologies. Spearhead the enhancement and creation of the company’s inventory management system and associated sales reports, including the development of templates and necessary analyses to support informed decision making.
• Work with buying and finance to develop promotional strategies. Analyze promotional effectiveness and make future recommendations.
• Responsible for a timely and accurate manners sales reports (weekly, monthly and end of season) for merchandise analysis
• Handle issues in a timely manner and continuously improve the internal and external processes and procedures
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as required
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 5-6 years of inventory planning experience; experience in leading teams through significant business growth in multi-channel/specialty retail brands is required.
• Extremely strong business acumen and strategic agility; demonstrated ability to immediately identify areas of the business that need attention, with quick action taking; proven ability to support and drive growth in a very fast-paced, evolving business environment.
• Deep understanding of the buying and planning cycles, and merchandising/planning ecosystems. Quickly grasp systems and processes by efficiently utilizing resources to accomplish tasks. Capable of managing multiple activities simultaneously. Decompose work into actionable steps. Focus on priorities.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of complex data and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to details, deadlines and reporting.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills with strong influential tactics; proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
• Able to work effectively under pressure with minimum supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong knowledge and background in retail buying
• Proficient in market analysis and performance tracking with ability to interpret data and draw actionable commercial insights and present findings to senior management
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot, and PowerPoint. Knowledge with Power BI is an advantage
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Good in Mandarin
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, statistics, financial management or related disciplines
