Manager Planning & Trading (m/f/d)


As a Manager Planning & Trading at adidas you are responsible for one or several global buying and planning process for the markets.  This role is responsible of assuring proper tooling, standard and processes between all stake holders. Your task is to drive continuous improvement of assigned processes in collaboration with markets and other global business stakeholders.



Key Accountabilities 

Contribute to eCOM planning and trading processes to enable proper market planning, forecasting, buying, realize business in-season opportunities and act accordingly.

Represent needs of DBC (Digital Brand Commerce) by giving input to roadmap for the merchandising pre-season and in-season tools.

Identify missing business efficiency tools to optimize planning and trading process

Actively participate in creation and executing with markets end to end eCOM Planning & Buying process

Support improvements of current solutions across the markets

Contribute to the global standardization of capabilities and harmonization of processes

  1. Education & Experience
  • Degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Merchandising and/or Business solutions
  • Experience in managing complex processes, involving multiple teams in different geographies
  • Experience working with stakeholders and experts at various organizational levels
  • Experience in creating strong internal business cases to support investment and internal resource requests

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners
  • Good communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely
  • Solutions-oriented approach and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Basic leadership skills are a plus


  1. Hard-Skills
  • Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies
  • Project management and project monitoring experience
  • Knowledge of process optimization methodologies (LEAN, 6Sigma, etc…) is a plus
  • Fluent English both verbally and written
  • Merchandising / buying process knowledge
