Manager, Store Development - Pacific (12 Month Contract)
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The Store Development Manager plays a pivotal role in our market expansion across Pacific. You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing architectural design for all store concepts across the business, as well as project management of new store openings end-to-end from initial concept through to successful launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide relevant insights and recommendations on performance trend and highlight key wins, opportunities and challenges.
- Plan and implement all brand store concepts including Performance, Originals and Factory Outlet for new adidas retail stores and remodels in Australia and New Zealand according to yearly rollout plan.
- Identify the scope of work, budget and timeline of new projects and coordinate all functions involved.
- Utilise advanced design methods to manage volume of project documentation and ensure cost effective and timely project rollout.
- Manage and review documentation packs received from internal or external design consultants to ensure design accuracy and alignment.
- Prepare documentation packs for tenders and issue to approved shopfitters for all appointed projects.
- Review and negotiate shopfitter costs to approve tenders and ensure entire scope is included in cost/budget to avoid variations during fit out period.
- Lead the coordination of design documentation across internal teams, shopping centres, local design agencies, services and structural engineers, building certifiers and regulatory authorities and provide direction to design partners to implement required changes and achieve full compliance.
- Obtain design approval from Emerging Markets team in Dubai HQ and centre management teams.
- Ensures compliance with the requirements and standards for the organisation of labour in the design of new and reconstruction of existing facilities of the company, the development of technological processes and equipment, environmental protection.
- Ensures the completeness of project documentation and compliance of the project with the technical specifications. Organises experimental verification and research of new design solutions to justify the feasibility of their use.
- Responsible for ordering all fit out elements (fixtures, lighting, digital LED screens etc) with relevant lead times.
- Studying the latest achievements, as well as the experience of other brands, in the design and construction of retail spaces
- Managing contractors across multiple projects simultaneously in their varying stages from pre-construction planning until open for trade.
- Participates in the preparation of store opening schedules and control of their implementation.
- Manage store handovers with all relevant business parties and prepare agreed defect reports for relevant team to close out. Ensure all identified defects are resolved by partners or centres within a timely manner.

Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree related to Store Development/Architecture and Planning.
- 4-5 years of professional work experience in Design Management or Construction Project Management.
- Previous industry experience including sporting goods, fashion, FMCG.
- Cross-functional experience ideally with Customer Service/Operations/IT/Sales/Finance.
- Ability to travel frequently to for site visits and inspections across Australia and New Zealand.
