Senior Specialist, DC Operations

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:


We are seeking a Senior Specialist, DC Operations to support the performance and continuous improvement of our distribution centre and logistics operations in Australia.


This role focuses on turning operational data into clear, practical insights that support stronger execution, better decision making, and ongoing efficiency improvements across the supply chain.


You will work closely with internal teams and third party logistics partners in a fast paced environment where collaboration, accuracy, and continuous improvement are key.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the day to day performance of distribution centre and logistics operations in Australia
  • Act as a key operational partner to the DC Manager and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on warehouse performance across productivity, OTIF, service levels, inventory accuracy, and cost
  • Analyse operational data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead regular performance reviews with third party logistics partners and drive agreed actions
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and system alignment
  • Provide clear visibility of stock and operational performance to planning and commercial teams
  • Support cost tracking, budget reviews, and validation of 3PL invoices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, and operational projects
  • Act as an escalation point for operational issues and support timely resolution

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office capability
  • Experience working with SAP, WMS, and or TMS systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in fast paced, operational environments

 

Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years’ experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain analytics
  • Experience working with third party logistics providers in Australia
  • Background in operational reporting and performance analysis
