Sr. Specialist Sports Marketing - Individual Sports
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Be responsible for building up a long-lasting strong portfolio of Individual Sports in Mexico.
Manage in a daily basis the end-to-end relationships with current partners, such as Motor Sports (Audi and Mercedes-Benz F1 teams), MexTenis, adidas Hybrid Athletes and the Individual Olympic Athletes in the journey to the LA games in 2028, providing a top-notch servicing level, but also, identifying trends and generating new opportunities in the mid-long run to keep growing the category in a sustainable fashion.
Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development of the go-to-market with SPOMA Portfolio / Strategy

Generate the alignment around each symbol to be exploited as maximum in GTM cross-category strategies

Align symbol usage for KA Purposes, including Trade and Comms

Monitor Sports Marketing financials (costs, return of investment, planning)

Comply with CAF procedures and P&L construction for new assets or renewals according to SPOMA strategy

Provide service to Tier 1 Symbols / Organizations in SPOMA IS Category

Manage and Execute projects – from scratch to action, being the main point of contact between all involved business areas

Assist and coordinate the daily details of the requirements with internal and external key stakeholders.

Submit seasonal orders for partners and planned projects within budget, coordinating the product supply process throughout the season to ensure service flawless execution and comply processes

Make sure to get the most out of each contractual Rights with our partners

Planning and execution of activations (following Publishind Brand Comms guidances)
Key Relationships:

Local: MKT Director, Spoma Director, Training CtC, FP&A, Retail, Omni, Sales, Legal, Brand, Newsroom.

Regional: SPOMA Director, Finance, Brand, CtCs.

External auditors: Major Training boxes, gyms, MexTenis, CNAR/CONADE, Athlete management agencies/agents, professional athletes.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills

Being familiar with a health lifestyle and the Training routine environment

Strong competence with Microsoft Office tool, special focus on Excel and PowerPoint presentations. Being familiar with Canva and the AI environment is considered a plus.

Be a true Sports Fan – having knowledge of the Training landscape in Mexico, including the current Olympics (in the journey to Los Angeles 2028) but also being familiar with Tennis and Motor Sports (F1) current roster

Strong PR ability Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. relationship management, facilitation, etc.)

Time and Pressure management – managing multiple sports disciplines at the same time

Understanding of contract logics and negotiation dynamics (both for organizations and athletes)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor´s degree in Science of Physical Education, Public Relations or Marketing

3-5 years experience

Fluency in English is a must
-
Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking abilities

Team player with excellent communication skills
