Purpose of the role:
As HR Business Partner for the Sales function at adidas Italy, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Commercial Leadership Team, driving business performance through people. Serving as the main contact for Talent Development initiatives—Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and Performance Management—the HRBP ensures the Sales organization builds the capabilities needed for success. In this role you will also manages employee relations with a proximity approach, keeps HR systems and employee documentation up to date, and challenges the status quo by seeking innovative solutions in alignment with HR teams across South Europe and Europe. By combining strategic partnership, operational excellence, and innovative thinking, the HRBP enables a high-performance culture and sustainable commercial results.
What you'll do:
- Build and maintain a close partnership with the Commercial Leadership Team and actively contribute to decision-making on key people topics, ensuring alignment of talent strategies with business priorities.
- Ensure consistent application of cluster, market, and Group HR standards while tailoring HR solutions to meet the specific needs of the Sales organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Talent Development initiatives, including Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and Performance Management, ensuring the organization builds and sustains the right capabilities for the future.
- Manage employee relations with a strong proximity approach, acting as a trusted partner for employees and leaders by fostering open communication, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Provide high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on developing leaders, strengthening the talent pipeline, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Partner closely with other HRBPs to design and implement people strategies that directly enable business growth, while ensuring consistency with cluster, market, and Group HR standards.
- Manage workforce planning, annual salary rounds and promotions/salary adjustments for defined areas in accordance with Global guidelines and in close cooperation with the HRD Italy.
- Proactively liaise with Reward South Europe and Talent Acquisition South Europe COEs.
- Ensure that all HR systems and tools (e.g., SuccessFactors modules) are accurately maintained and up to date, guaranteeing reliable data.
- Oversee the timely and compliant management of employee-related documents (contracts, warnings, promotion letters, etc.), ensuring alignment with legal requirements and Group HR standards.
Skills you'll need:
- University degree or equivalent (preferably in economics or HR Management)
- Minimum of 6 years progressive work experience in the field of HR (preferably in an international organization).
- Strategic business partnering and ability to influence Sales leaders
- Expertise in Talent Development: Leadership Development, Succession Planning, Performance Management
- Strong knowledge of labor law and employee relations management
- Proficiency in HR systems (SAP Org Management, SuccessFactors) and accurate HR documentation
- Creative problem-solving and ability to challenge the status quo
- Collaborative leadership and ability to work effectively on cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
- Sound Knowledge about the local labour law and regulations
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- MS-Office skills, SAP experience is advantageous.
