Norwegian Office | Oslo City
As a Wholesales Activation Manager, will be part of a team of 15 colleagues working within Omnichannel Activation and approximately 25 people working in the wider Brand Department. You will have the marketing activation responsibility of the Sportholding banners and XXL across the Nordic Market. You will be based at our Norwegian hub, located in central Oslo, and collaborate closely with our dedicated adidas team at our Solna office, where we have nearly 100 colleagues working across Sales, Marketing, and support functions, and connect with colleagues worldwide. You will report to the Senior Manager Wholesale Activation, based at our Nordic HQ in Solna, Sweden, who leads Intersport/XXL activation team.
The Nordics is part of our North Europe Cluster, bringing together the Nordics, UK, and Benelux as one team. We’re a workforce united through a common passion for Sport and Fashion, as well as working in an environment where everyone feels comfortable to be their true authentic self.
You will travel to the Solna HQ for meetings approximately every two months and to Europe twice a year for 3 days to participate in seasonal strategic handovers. You may occasionally work flexible hours to support activations.
What you’ll do:
As a Wholesale Activation Manager at adidas, you will play a key role in strengthen adidas’s position with Nordic consumers through the development and execution of impactful marketing activations in the assigned accounts channels. Aligning with Nordic and European strategies, you will develop and implement tailored account marketing plans that enhance the adidas brand image and drive profitable market share growth. In this role, you will plan activation calendars, ensuring they are updated and effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating closely with agencies and cross-functional teams, you will deliver high-quality activations that maximize visibility both online and in-store. With a focus on delivering exceptional results within budget, all initiatives will reflect adidas’ global brand values and commitment to excellence. By analysing marketing and commercial data, you’ll identify and act on opportunities to optimize campaigns and continuously improve performance. Additionally, you will support account sell-in processes by presenting seasonal brand strategies and priorities, aligning with account objectives to ensure mutual success. This position requires a strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to foster strong partnerships that drive both brand and commercial success.
Skills you’ll need:
- University Degree or equivalent, ideally with marketing and sales focus
- +3 year professional experience in the marketing area or sales area.
- Fluent in English
- Fully Competent with IT packages (Excel and PowerPoint to an advanced level)
- Collaboration: Strong ability to build and maintain strong relationships, communicate effectively and influence decision-makers.
- Creativity: Skilled in developing innovative solutions and activations based on customer and consumer insights.
- Business Acumen: Experienced in analyzing data to balance immediate business goals with long-term brand growth.
- Expertise: Strong background in campaign projects, with a solid understanding of performance marketing, social media, retail and e-commerce. Confident and persuasive in presenting ideas. Experience in budget management.
