Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Within the LAM Business Development team, the Director Strategy Planning and Execution is responsible for Market LAM Strategic Planning and to drive execution of company and market priorities.
This role is the main point of contact for the head of the department and plays a pivotal role in leading, incubating and developing x-functional priorities, aligned with the market and global strategic directions.
The Director of Strategy planning and Execution is also supporting the tasks related to the PMO and Chief of Staff for the Market MD including orchestrating the SLT strategic agenda and all Head Office topics.

Develop, Support, and Lead key strategic initiatives/projects/programs from planning to execution across the LAM organization.

Deliver strategic projects in line with LAM Strategic Business Plan.

Drive and guide project managers, sponsors, business owners in planning, execution and tracking the modules and initiatives – while providing deep-dive support on select initiatives with value-added analysis

Support & drive LAM strategy development in the regional Hub in Panama and across all countries in Latin America: simplify, standardize and centralize strategic planning in order to create the conditions for profitable and sustainable market share growth for the brand in the LAM market.
Key Responsibilities:

(Strategy Planning) – Support the development of the Regional Strategic Business Planning (SBP) process (eg. Process/timelines/milestones, document development, cross functional alignment, global submissions, communication) considering current, and future initiatives within a 2-5 year period.
Steer regional annual strategy review and define yearly market priorities, in close partnership with Global Corporate Strategy office and functional VPs.
Support other regular and ad-hoc strategic planning activities (e.g workshops, briefings).

(Management Support) - Support Region Senior Leadership Team (SLT), in facilitating on-going management meetings and leadership operating rhythm, monitoring and reporting business KPIs to key stakeholders. Act as point of contact between Global and local teams while fostering network to share business practices.

(Strategy Communication) – Support the definition and development of strategic presentations and business planning documents with strong storytelling for executive level presentations & cascading down through the organization (ex: Board update, One LAM conference, Townhalls). Work closely with the Internal Communication team (within BD) to drive execution of a consistent strategy communication plan across LAM.

(Strategy Execution - PMO) - Develop LAM strategy and vision by the creation and delivery of strategic projects directly related to the SBP to ensure quality of execution of Top LAM priorities:

Lead LAM Strategic Project Governance to act as "home and guardian" of LAM project portfolio; ensuring strategy consistency and proper resource allocation

Create Project Management "Center of Excellence" in LAM to implement "Project Management Standards" in LAM, from Demand Management to Project Closure, ensuring Best In Class Execution.

Secure governance / initiative tracking and reporting for market priorities. Provide PMO support for x-functional market initiatives (within team capacity)

Deploy a robust Project Management operating rhythm, across functions and countries to drive and guide project managers, sponsors, business owners in successful planning, execution and tracking the modules and initiative

Influence directly the developments/progress of some strategic initiatives by providing deep-dive support to secure quality of execution (according to quality, time and budget)

Drive regular communication and working sessions with the Senior Leadership Team on initiative progress, issues, decisions and recommended future actions to ensure proper project governance

Lead a team of project managers focused on and dedicated to strategic projects to steer the execution of LAM project portfolio

(Leadership) Lead team and foster performance culture within the team through developing and retaining key talents. Act as a role model in compliance with the Leadership Framework, relevant laws and regulations as well as the adidas Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
-
10 years of experience in management consulting or in Business roles (e.g Business Development, Project Management, Finance, Sales, Brand, SCM).

Experience successfully leading, managing and developing a team.
-
Experience in working closely with middle management and Senior Executives.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. MBA degree is a plus.

Cross functional experience ideally with elements of strategic planning/ marketing/ sales/ finance

Experience in leading large-scale transformation or change programs.

Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, advanced level in Spanish is a must
