Manager Buying & Trading
We are looking for a strategic and analytical Buying & Trading Manager to lead the commercial planning and assortment strategy for our mono-brand retail channel. This role goes beyond traditional buying and focuses on transforming the way we plan and trade the business by leveraging data, automation, and innovative commercial thinking. The ideal candidate combines strong retail instincts with analytical rigor to drive sell-out performance, profitability, and brand impact across our stores and partner ecosystem.
Purpose
Responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy for the mono-brand channel, ensuring the right product assortment, inventory efficiency, and trading actions to maximize sell-out, profitability, and brand impact.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Assortment Planning
• Define seasonal buying strategies aligned with brand priorities and market opportunities.
• Develop product assortment proposals that balance sell-out performance, brand building, and profitability, working along with CTCs to ensure channel priorities are covered.
• Ensure the right mix across categories, price points, and consumer segments.
Trading & Performance Management
• Monitor key retail KPIs such as sell-out, sell-through, UPT, full price vs markdowns, inventory levels, and margin.
• Identify commercial opportunities and risks and implement trading actions to drive performance.
• Partner with account managers to optimize store performance.
Process Optimization & Automation
• Challenge traditional planning and buying processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation.
• Leverage analytics and data tools to improve forecasting and assortment planning.
• Develop scalable frameworks for commercial planning and decision-making.
Inventory & Profitability Management
• Ensure healthy inventory levels and optimize stock allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins and pursue reorder opportunities to cater our consumer.
• Balance commercial performance with brand presentation and consumer experience.
Key Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, trading, or retail planning.
• Experience in fashion, sportswear, or consumer retail is a plus.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Experience working with planning tools, dashboards, advanced analytics or automation.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on efficiency and process improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (bilingual required).
