Assistant Manager, Planning (Cambodia)

Purpose

  • A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
  • Lead the factory planning team in one Operation Center with more than one production locations with the goal of matching supply to demand at the right time and at a competitive cost.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure execution of all standard planning processes in the respective Operation Center and lead the factory team in achieving highest level of product availability by continually improve the quality and timeliness of factory planning & capacity reliability, product transfer execution, order confirmation, production and shipping accuracy and provide efficient and effective solutions to requests from the customers.
  • Coach, train and influence the factory planning team’s competency level by training and increasing their understanding of adidas planning processes.
  • Lead the execution of planning initiatives and cross functional alignment on planning direction in the respective Operation Centers. Execute and sustain a high level of operational efficiency in the planning processes and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive the day-to-day production management of the responsible Operation Centers in ensuring that planning directions and priorities are executed to best satisfy customer demands while taking into consideration all possible manufacturing constraints (at both Tier1 & Tier2 levels)
  • Monitor and communicate factors likely to impact Tier1 & Tier2 delivery performance and drive improvement actions plan with the various stakeholders in the respective Operation Centers.
  • Collaborate closely with the factory business/material purchasing department, Tier2 material suppliers, 3PL, label providers, etc... to identify bottlenecks and complexities and provide corrective actions to improve all suppliers' delivery performance.
  • Assist in implementing planning process improvement and global initiatives rolling out and successful execution in the respective Operation Centers.
  • Verify respective factories’ overall planning reliability, specifically in the area of order confirmation, delivery date accuracy, and shipping/invoicing accuracy. Drive the on-time approval of additional mold request.
  • Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Success experience in manufacturing environment with good knowledge of the Sporting Goods industry
  • Strong influencing, people, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability in leading multidimensional teams
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

 

Requisite Education and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in related areas, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant business experience.
