Assistant Apparel Graphics Designer, US Sports
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION
Support the design team in creating market-right apparel offerings that reflect adidas’ brand identity and performance standards. This role contributes to the full design process, from concept to final product, while learning from experienced designers and collaborating across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing creative solutions for individual apparel products
- Execute design work aligned with adidas’ visual language and corporate identity
- Create sketches, renderings, and technical drawings to communicate design intent
- Work closely with marketing and development teams to ensure smooth product realization
- Support communication flow between design and cross-functional partners
- Verbally present product ideas and details in team meetings
- Visualize concepts clearly for internal reviews and external stakeholders
- Help maintain efficient workflows and documentation across the design process
- Participate in seasonal design reviews and product development checkpoints
- Seasonal prep and research
- Works closely with Development to assist in development process & costing; meet development timelines and calendar deadlines per seasonal milestone.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Knowledge of fashion and/or industrial design, especially apparel and graphic design
- Strong communication skills
- High level of creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to understand design concepts and think conceptually
- Ability to create designs that meet category needs and commercial opportunities
- Ability to operate in a fast pace, ever changing work environment
- Works well in a team environment. This position requires employee to engage with many stakeholders, as well as manage various information and relationships
- Ability and desire to push themselves, others, and the brand forward.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with key business partners
- Proficiency in design software
- Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
- Power Point/Key Note
- Apple Mac operating systems
- 3D systems beneficial, but not required
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma, BA, MA, in Design (Fashion, Industrial, or related field)
- Thorough knowledge of art and design with clear understanding of visual design or any design related environment
- Preferably some practical experience in a design environment (internships or freelance)
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree
