Assistant Manager Human Resources - Limited Time Duration

 

Purpose

Provides support to the Global Brands & Sales HR teams in administrative tasks, projects and processes.  Support and assist the Human Resources Management in undertaking HR related duties to ensure we are delivering best in class HR support and quality service to our business partners.  Partner closely with assigned leaders to ensure HR programs are implemented and supported thoughtfully and in accordance with HR policies in the areas of employee relations, performance management, recruitment, immigration and compensation.  

 

Key Responsibilities  

 

HR Projects (Primarily)

  • Support HR projects: including, but not limited to: compiling reports, manage inbound / outbound employee transfers, evaluating data and proposing actions, and system updates + accuracy 

  • Coordinate and oversee immigration processes for current employees, including working with their HRBP, the employee, and outside counsel.  

  • Drive process optimization initiatives and related administrative work that creates efficencies for the broader HR team. 

  • Support HR member/teams on any urgent and critical tasks or projects on an agile basis 

  • May support the organization in execution of trainings, events, presentations and meetings. This may include planning content, presenting, NEO’s, and other logistics. 

  • Work closely with HR Services to confirm SAP is up to date regarding employee personnel data and organizational structure changes.    

 

HR Business Partnering

  • Establish HR as a trusted business partner and ensure HR initiatives, programs, and policies are fully understood and implemented thoughtfully within the assigned business areas.   

  • Partner closely with line management maximize performance and employee engagement.  Coach managers on talent management and how to best motivate and challenge their team members to ensure employee performance, engagement and accountability.   

  • Be an employee coach to help them navigate job issues, career development and answer general questions regarding HR programs and policies. 

  • Partner with CoE teams to make sound decisions, give guidance & expertise as needed (i.e. Compensation). 

  • Partner closely with line managers and Rewards to write and evaluate job description appropriately and be consistent with other regions and across functions. 

 

  • Participate as team member on multi-disciplinary projects that utilize various parts of the HR organization, including Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Talent management and Training.

  • Customer oriented, approachable with strong interpersonal skills 

  • Experienced using, MS-Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, & PowerPoint) skills 

  • Strong team player with ability to work with diverse groups of people in a productive manner  

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 

  • HRIS experience, SAP a plus. 

 

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications   

  • Four-year college or university degree, preferably with emphasis in Human Resource Management, Business or related area   

  • 2+ years’ generalist HR and recruitment experience and/or training required. 

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.

For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, Oregon.
