KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER COSTCO
PURPOSE
Guide the product and brand strategy for key categories within one of the most influential retailers in the world. As Key Account Manager for Costco, you will lead sell-in and sell-through execution in partnership with merchandising, marketing, and retail activation teams to achieve sustainable and profitable growth. Your work will shape how adidas shows up in a unique retail environment and ensure exceptional performance across categories.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LEAD SALES AND PROFIT PERFORMANCE
Use strong business acumen and retail math expertise to manage top- and bottom-line results while identifying opportunities to strengthen account performance.
BUILD STRATEGIC ACCOUNT PLANS
Develop data-informed sales plans aligned with account goals, buyer insights, and brand direction to support category success.
STEER SELL IN AND SELL THROUGH EXECUTION
Collaborate with marketing, retail activation, and merchandising to deliver programs that elevate visibility, support sell-through, and enhance the consumer experience.
STRENGTHEN CROSS FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
Build productive relationships with internal teams and account partners to support planning, communication, and aligned execution.
ENSURE OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Deliver accurate reporting and forecasting, and manage account-related compliance, claims, and issue resolution with clarity and timeliness.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of key retail and profitability metrics
- Ability to use financial data to inform decisions and influence outcomes
- Skilled in building assortment plans aligned to space, inventory, and sell-through needs
- Effective negotiator and communicator across teams and levels
- Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- Minimum eight years of field sales experience, ideally with key accounts in consumer goods or sporting goods
- Ability to travel up to 20 percent
- Ability to lift and carry samples up to 25 lbs

- At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, OR.
