Key Account Rep - Clearance

Purpose 
Lead & manage US Clearance Sales. Build and maintain a sustainable business while respecting market disruption throughout the retail landscape. Work as a strategic lever partnering with Sales, Planning, and Inventory to deliver the necessary results.

 

Key Accountabilities 

•    Manage and drive US Clearance business allocating product between sales partners with a focus on profitability & mitigating market disruption
•    Own the Clearance sales process and manage Clearance portfolio in a strategic way that improves margin and minimizes market disruption
•    Collaborate with Clearance team in all aspects of the business, driving creation of Clearance packages, sell-in, negotiation, order integration, and tracking
•    Partner with Sales, Planning, and Inventory to utilize clearance accounts as additional selling levers, ensuring transparency and alignment to execute sales and support network capacity targets
•    Incorporate feedback from cross-functional partners to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Clearance sales process, balancing account prioritization, inventory turns, and margin goals 
•    Update Clearance sales tools including inventory lists, internal & external package documents, sales tracking and order integration files, and external Customer recaps in collaboration with Sales Rep
•    Execute Clearance channel reporting & analysis 
•    Process Customer pricing & PO’s for Account Management submission
•    Manage, track and resolve pricing discrepancies, order blocks, and credit issues
•    Support Logistics inquiries from internal team & Customers (PO extensions, pull-forwards, shortages, etc)
•    Support Sales Development processes & tools related to Clearance availability and pricing
•    Lead the organization and preparation of internal and external meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, creation of presentations, and meeting recaps
•    Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments & approved Clearance accounts

•    Strong business acumen. Ability to understand and use financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes. This includes margins, retail math, forecast/projections, probability and statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, etc.

•    Agile communication skills with internal and external business partners. The ability to write and speak clearly and succinctly in a variety of settings and styles. Proven ability to deliver a high level of customer service, including the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
•    Efficient organization and planning skills. Must use effective time management skills and prioritize to complete deadlines. Needs to have an effective system in place to manage office tasks. Organization of paperwork and work is evident through effective filing systems and communications. 
•    Strong presentation skills. 
•    Strong problem-solving ability. Able to develop solutions to situations before and as they arise. Anticipates issues and devise "suggested" solutions before proceeding. 
•    Ability to diplomatically fight for the brand to create win win resolution with accounts. 
•    Merchandising and planning skills, and the ability to apply them by connecting the plan into forecast, then executing accordingly.
•    Ability to handle multiple projects and work in an autonomous environment with little direction or supervision.
•    Knowledge of sales processes, procedures and policies.
•    A strong understanding of retail sales practices, and the ability to lay out practical and logical assortment plans based on retail space, inventory turn, and sell through.
•    Excellent computer skills including MS Excel/PowerPoint and ability to learn Power BI
•    Ability to lift and carry samples and bags weighing up to 25 lbs.
•    Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
•    Ability to be in the Portland office minimum 3 days a week/not a remote position 
•    Passion for sport

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum three years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience 
•    Advanced Excel skills required
