Manager Demand Planning

Purpose and Relevancy for the organization:

 

 The North America (NAM) market consists of USA and Canada and covers Wholesale, Retail, eCom and US Team Services distribution channels, with annual sales of approximately $5bn (2018)

 

Your task as a Manager Integrated Business Planning is to manage the execution of the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes, guaranteeing quality of monthly submissions. You will need to review the business performance against the long and short term strategies, identify gaps & agree on corrective actions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 NAM IBP Process:

  • Manage the IBP process in close cooperation with NAM  Finance and your Senior Manager
  • Support the execution of a functional and effective NAM IBP process set-up
  • Ensure quality of IBP process by providing key deadlines, ensure all IBP information is available (IP Tool) for the monthly IBP meetings
  • Create a NAM  IBP calendar to lead all business partners through IBP key milestones
  • Contribute to the achievement of the NAM IBP process/strategy
  • Ensure coordination of IBP activities in NAM , across BUs, sub-markets, channels, Clearance and Finance
  • Support information flow and communication (eg summary from the individual IBP meetings) to all parties
  • Partner with NAM Finance, especially the Brand Finance, to support NAM Business Unit teams (eg creation of SBP and GTM guidance)
  • Ensure documentation of sales & marketing assumptions, risks and opportunities along the IBP process
  • Support preparation of monthly IBP data package for BU Review, SBR and MBR
  • Support business partners across BUs & Channels (incl. Clearance) during IBP bottom-up planning
  • Monitor volume alignment between RDP & IBP across BUs and channels including supporting the creation of relevant tools
  • Observance of local, WE and global IBP timelines and deadlines

 

 

IP Tool &  IBP Reporting

  • Ensure that all aligned IBP figures are entered in the IP Tool on time, for the monthly submission, on 4 seasons and fiscal year level
  • Drive and support final adjustments of IBP data before submission
  • Support the continuous development of the overarching IBP planning process
  • Identify improvement potential to further develop the IP Tool (process, data management)
  • Be a contact point for the Global IBP Business + IT support teams  and ensure appropriate IP tool user rights across NAM
  • Support Global releases and secure the roll out plans within given timelines
  • Support development and create adequate IBP communication packages and reports together with NAM DP Data & Anlaytics team (eg. monthly IBP report, presentation for MBR)
  • Review and validate all new IBP reporting requests, if they are inline with IBP strategy before implementation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Very good analytical skills
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of IBP structure and process
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • R/Python language, Tableau, MSTR/HANA reporting skills preferred
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (PP, Word)
  • Fluent in English

 

 

Educational Background/ Minimum requirements:

 

  • University degree in business administration with a focus on Finance / Controlling
  • 5-7 years of work experience in demand planning, finance or a similar field
  • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience

Experience in the sporting goods industry preferred
