Product Manager Apparel - Creation Center Portland
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION
- Be the consumer and sport expert for the NAM apparel market
- Execute the apparel category direction
- Collaborate with all creation functions to deliver Sportswear, Training, Running, and other relevant category product concepts
- Create ranges within the category from both an image and commercial point of view
- Bring consumer, sport lifestyle and North American specific insights into your apparel concepts
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively manage apparel range direction in close collaboration with Creation Center Portland (CCP)
- Propose a clear strategy for the range and how to move it on
- Show full understanding of the product creation process whilst managing all tasks within the given time frames, with special attention to speed to market
- Independently manage creation projects ranging from commercial apparel to collaborations
- Partner and collaborate with design and development to bring concepts to market
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with cross-functional teams and with interlinked departments to enable an efficient smu product creation process; ensure product excellence
- Collaborate with other creation teams both globally and locally to execute cross-business unit packs focused on North American sport, cultural moments, commercial opportunities and key account needs
- Navigate and drive the world of special make ups (SMU)
- Be a competent partner for product discussions with markets and retailers
- Actively analyse business, draw conclusions and propose action steps
- Be the to go to person for consumer insights and knowledge
- Prepare and present your ranges and business related topics - with respective audience in mind - by using relevant structure and content
- Identify projects to optimize category performance; work independently and steer to conclusion

- Strong understanding of product, trend, consumer insights, sport and fashion
- Ability to take data and insights into product brief/concept
- Good level of product expertise to create industry leading products

- Cooperate well and effectively to maintain and develop trustful relationships
- Understand and stay close to the North American Gen Z consumer

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree, preferably in marketing/business /textile/fashion
- Minimum of 3-5 years Product Marketing experience with APP, FTW or ACC background
- Experience in trade, vertical retail business model or sales is helpful
- Fluent in English
- PC skills (MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel)

At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, Oregon.
