Senior Product Manager - Football Footwear
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Senior Product Manager, American Football Footwear plays a pivotal role in driving product excellence and supporting the growth of adidas in U.S. Sports. This role focuses exclusively on American Football footwear, combining strategic input with strong executional accountability. The Senior PM is responsible for leading cross-functional teams through the product creation process and ensuring seasonal range plans and franchise strategies meet consumer, cultural, and business needs. Be the consumer and sport culture expert in American Football, ensuring athlete and cultural insights are embedded into product creation and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage American Football footwear product creation from concept to market, ensuring execution of seasonal range plans that align with category vision.
- Translate consumer, sport, lifestyle, and cultural insights into compelling product and franchise stories.
- Partner with the Director to contribute to long-term Football strategy, including franchise roadmaps and category growth opportunities.
- Ensure and oversee seasonal calendars, system readiness, and milestone deliverables are met with excellence.
- Track and monitor marketplace trends and competitor activity to identify new product or innovation opportunities.
- Proactively influence and contribute to range direction, identifying opportunities to optimize category performance.
- Serve as a role model in the product creation process, mentoring team members and ensuring cross-functional clarity.
- Prepare and present Football ranges and business topics to internal and external stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Analyze and report Football footwear business performance against KPIs (net sales, margin, sell-through, range size, buy readiness, market share).
- Promote and champion the brand’s values, creating a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the category.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Maintain a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Textile, or Fashion.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Bring experience in footwear (strongly preferred).
- Show proven ability to manage a direct report and lead cross-functional projects.
- Bring experience in merchandising or sales (helpful).
- Bring experience with factory travel, wear testing, or product testing environments (preferred).
- Demonstrate fluent in English.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office programs.

At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, Oregon.
